Memorial Day and Surgery

We were busy Memorial Day Weekend..Crystal picked out the colors of her room, Wal-Mart's Fluffy Pink! We are "Horseying" this up with as much as we can. It's a small room because this house has 3 bedrooms so DH built Crystal's room out of our strange dining room/living room...It was wasted space that is now put to good use! I will post finished pics as we work on her room.

DH cam thru his Gallbladder Surgery with no complications, He came home and is eating and walking around the house with little pain, Today he is alittle more sore than he was last night so we hope tomorrow will be better. G'ma came to help with the kids and slept over, this morning I cooked pancakes and we lounged around in our PJ's till 3 pm!! Very unusual for all of us to do this.

I am looking forward to summer, We are planning a few Lake Days and lots of Library visits. I'm trying to think of activities that we can do here at home.

Please share your ideas with me, What do you plan on doing with your kids this summer and save gas at the same time?

I'll be checking in here and there but until he is better I have to take care of the animals and what-not.

TGIF Everyone!! We are recovering from the Flu here, I'm very tired and slow today, This weekend will be catching up on housecleaning and laundry. Before we all got so sick I finished up this WELCOME towel, I adore how the tea stain turned out and love the color of this simple homespun fabric. I think this would look Fab. on a Ladder in a nice corner, Decoration purposes only for this one! It's listed in my shop.

Have a Wonderful Weekend and I hope ya'll see Sun! It has been raining here off and on for a week.

Stash Bags

My new Stash bag, it has a loop tie for tieing the top. This was so fun to stitch up!
The back of both of them, simple tea stain.

Another fun stitch up, Holds alot! Both are available on my Etsy shop.

My Mother's day was so nice, DH cooked breakfast and I got to watch a great movie with the kids and then go back to bed to read for half the day!

Today Abigail got her Kindergarten shots, 4 of them, came home and she was sick for the rest of the day, couldn't hold anything down, I'm wondering if it's the shots or something other.
DH was in the ER and is now home sleeping, He has severe IBS and his gallbladder was acting up, poor guy is on so many meds now and has to see a specialist on Fri. and get an Hydascan.

I'm ready for the night to be over, after feeding HOSS I'm going to read and drink a nice cup of

My Crafty Weekend

On Sunday I went with my Mother to visit the Cincinnati Art Museum to see the new exhibition, Masterpiece Quilts from the Shelburne Museum, You can read the info about it here

It was amazing to see the workmanship on these quilts, the colors were so vibrant still! Afterwards my mother and I visited the quilt giftshop and I found this treasure waiting for me,
Ohio Is My Dwelling Place: Schoolgirl Embroideries, 1800-1850 by Sue Studebaker.

I'm very excited to read this and I enjoyed looking and learning about all of the quilts and the people that made them!

Farmgirl Crafts

(4/28/08 to 5/2/08)

I Love to Stitch Pillows and Kitchen Towels. It relaxes me at night and I stitch outside while the kids are playing, I think back to many other ladies crafting after the chores are done for the day. I take pride in my neat, close stitches and am always thinking of new stitcheries to do. I am welcomed by ideas from my kids books, cartoons, and my magazines. I Enjoy walking into a room and seeing a pillow being displayed that I have worked hard on!
