A long table would be great with a mirror and art work above. Decorate the wall with things you love.
Hugs,
SherrySherry @ No Minimalist Herehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14321374710550709020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3768555726930209567.post-19013709620876334912011-04-20T08:33:26.122-07:002011-04-20T08:33:26.122-07:00Agree with Lisa. It's ok to think about things for a while before doing anything that requires a lot of time or money. Rugs can help with defining spatial areas as much as walls can. If you have a narrower wall area for your lovely clock, that might be a better fit. I still need tons of help in almost every room of my house too. After you catch your breath, maybe I can get some advice from you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3768555726930209567.post-50788238068476008612011-04-20T08:26:51.526-07:002011-04-20T08:26:51.526-07:00What a fun blank slate. I would recommend removing the clock or getting a nice sideboard or console table to put next to it. This will help anchor your wall art and help the clock to not be such a focal point. I would make sure the art, stars, old shutters, ladders, etc. etc. that you choose to display on the wall are relatively large in scale as your wall appears large as well. Hang these items in a grouping and use the console/sideboard to anchor them. Then you get the fun of decorating the console top with your fav. things. Don't forget some lamps. Ooooh...I can see it now. Your space will be amazing! :)Jennifer Interiorshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09477391273000132651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3768555726930209567.post-62744555473060185582011-04-14T13:45:06.292-07:002011-04-14T13:45:06.292-07:00I would decorate the wall with all your country st...I would decorate the wall with all your country stuff.. Do what you love not what others are doing... I would put a table behind the couch on that long wall.. long and skinny table with a lamp on it. a bowl to put your keys in. Hang a quilt above the table.. Put baskets between the table and the clock..

You asked yesterday about the couches.. Is it a sectional or did you set it up like a sectional?? You can seperate them..I don't know the dimentions of the room..I think the couches are great..

Moving into a new home is fun and when you set it up you can always move things around to what fits your family..Have fun with it..

Enjoy decorating.. Love your kitchen with the roosters and sunflowers...

Sunflowers are my favorite flowers. and I have been decorating with chickens and roosters for the last year..

Remember to have fun with what you have...

Have a great day..Lisa

Enjoy Florida..I lived in Miami for 28 years..Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10476106116117964270noreply@blogger.com
