Inescapable~A Book Review

Lizzie Engel is used to running away. At eighteen, she left her Mennonite hometown, Kingdom, Kansas, with plans never to return.
But five years later, the new life she built is falling apart. Lizzie knows she's being followed, and she's certain the same mysterious stranger is behind the threatening letters she's received. Realizing she'll have to run again, the only escape Lizzie can manage is a return to the last place she wants to go.
Once she arrives in Kingdom, Lizzie is confident she'll be safe until she comes up with a new plan. In reacquainting herself with the town and its people--especially her old friend, Noah Housler--she wonders if she judged her hometown and her Mennonite faith too harshly. However, just as she begins to come to terms with her roots, Lizzie is horrified to discover the danger she ran from is closer than ever.
No longer sure who to trust and fearful for her life and the lives of those around her, Lizzie finds she has only one place left to run--to the Father whose love is inescapable.
~This was a good book to read after work and get my mind off of it! The story line was tidied up at the end and I'm looking forward to reading the second book as it has peaked my interest.~

New Kitchen Table Find for Cheap

We were in need of a new kitchen table since our old one was getting too unsteady with 3 kids, I loved it..It is a Duncan Pfaff with 4 matching chairs, quite the find!

Here is the only picture I could find while sitting here. This is a fun set-up during my son's Birthday Party a few years ago while we lived in town.

and.....

Here is our new to us find...only $140.00 and local pick-up. Solid oak, honey stained, with the leaf folding into the table for easy storage with 4 matching chairs! I have to use 2 of our chairs for the end of the table until I can find 2 end chairs that match.
Table Love!!

I am in Love with this table and how much it changes the look of our Dining room!

What do you think?

Here are some great pics I was able to grab and share with you!

These were taken at the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center with G'ma and Uncle Josh, We all had a very nice time!

Tomorrow is back to work for us, not looking forward to it because I got so much done around here this weekend decorating and re-arranging. I will share pics in next post.

A Path Toward Love~ A Book Review

Katherine came home to forget her past. The last thing she expected was to find her future.
Young widow Katherine Osborne returns to her family’s rustic camp on Raquette Lake in the Adirondack Mountains. She’s determined to live a quiet life, but her socialite mother is equally determined to push her into a new marriage while she’s still young.
Andrew Townsend has known Katherine since they were children. An attorney who is successful, but not wealthy, he knows she is socially out of his reach. But he’s curious about what changed the free-spirited girl he once knew into this private, somber young woman.
Katherine has kept hidden the details of her unsuccessful marriage. When past sins come to light, she must turn to God for the courage to be honest. But how can she trust the God she feels has let her down? When she confides in Andrew, their relationship takes a dramatic turn into uncharted territory.
Amid impossible obstacles, two young people must learn to trust enough to walk the path that God has cleared for them. A path that leads to healing and restoration. A path toward love.
~ This was a lovely story that pulled you right into young Katherine's life. I instantly felt like I could be her best friend and help her along with her tough decisions that she has to make and with her troubled personal life. Katherine's sweet decision in the end was the right one. I am glad that I took the time to read this even though it has taken me so long.~
BookSneeze sent me this book to read and review many months ago and all opinions are my own.
