Date Night

We are going out tonight to Dinner/Movie...We haven't decided on what movie to see as they all look good to me. My Sis is going to watch the kiddos and put them to bed, Her DH is even going to feed HOSS for us so that we can go into town early! It has been rainy and cold, the snow is melting and is slushy but I've heard cardinals singing outside today on my birdfeeder! Signs of Spring, I'd love to see sunshine again!

Bookstore Dream

I talked to the owner of the building that I want to lease today, He called and said that he closes on it on March 1st, after that he needs to do some major work to the inside, such as a Bathroom..Yes, No Bathroom! I would need one! He has no idea what he wants to lease it for yet, he is still working on apartments upstairs, they are also pretty rundown, such a shame, so much history. We are talking about maybe a May 2008 opening..Looking at buying books now, Friends and family are doing their part, Bless Them, but you can never have to many books. OH My Gosh... the decorating ideas are flowing tonight, I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep..Bookshelves and very pretty wallhangings and maybe a tiny sitting area.

Sorry~Been MIA

I have had some sort of bug and haven't had the Energy for much. I'm slowly working my way thru everyone's posts and have a Stitchery going. It has started to snow again here and right now I feel like crawling into bed and reading. Hope to be back to my normal busy self real soon!

I made this today, the glass for the photo frame broke so I added 1 piece of fabric and 1 old doily ....Presto!

Of course the back isn't Pretty but who looks at that!

~OOAK Library Tote Bag~

I finished this on Sat. night and have now posted it in my Etsy.com store. I think it's very cute!! Plenty of room for the addition of children's names stitched/written on it too. It's stitched on BOTH sides :)

Is it me or has Etsy been slow? I'm still waiting on my first sale and I'm wondering if maybe I have done something wrong and nothing is getting through to me by e-mail. I'm hoping that my shop will get noticed soon.

9th Bday and a Dream

We had a Birthday party for my DD Sat. the 9th, She received her first Webkins and is in love with it! This week has been so busy with 2 Snow days and DH having to drive my truck to work. I'm busy trying to finish a Stitchery and keep a house clean of mud and snow!
I'm getting closer to my goal of opening my own Bookstore, I love the idea of having a used bookstore! I always have and DH is tired of me talking about it and has said for me to get prices on permits and storefronts for rent here in town. I have talked to the Chamber of Commerce and have gotten some great responses about places for lease. While the paperwork is getting ready and I have my ducks in a row I'm collecting as many books as I can!!
You can never have too many!
I have set a goal of opening before the end of this year, it won't happen over night but I'm one step closer!
I'm so excited and scared at the same time but if I don't try then I'll never know if I'm good at it or if I'll even like running a bookstore.
I'll be posting alot about this new venture, Be ready :)

Yesterday my DH picked up a Playstation 3 and we have been playing MaterNationals on it with the kids, SO cool! Tonight we are going to watch a DVD in BluRay to see if we can tell much of a diference in the HiDef....Yep, We were behind on Techno stuff but we are slowing catching up. This is what happens when your busy watching Noggin all day, You forget about the new stuff out there!
