Hummingbird Watch

Last week we saw 1 Hummingbird around our bird feeder and I kept meaning to put out Hummingbird juice for the little guy but kept forgetting due to work.

Tonight I made some and now we are on Hummingbird watch.

Do you think the little guy will come back and visit us?

I am going to run to the store and replace some Flowers but I'm not sure which Flowers enjoy full FL sun and I'm researching tonight.

Linking up to these Parties~

Monday Blues

Here is a couple of beauties, our Apple trees are blossoming and so is our Cherry tree and Lilac. It smells so nice outside!

I'm sorry I didn't have time to post a "Homemaker Monday", DH caught the FLU from the girls this weekend and he collapsed this morning and I had to call the squad and stay in the ER with him. It has been a rather long day and I;m off to bed.

I hope ya'll enjoyed your nice weekend!

My Mulch Ready Flower Beds

We worked so hard this past weekend getting the flower beds ready for some new mulch, they have been sadly taken for granted and they were showing it, now they are calling for some fresh mulch. My new mums are so pretty and are full of blooms and G'ma Terri brought a surprise on Sunday for our flower beds, a huge BOOT planter...What every farm family needs in their garden!

Woke up this morning and saw some happiness under our bird feeder, a baby sunflower, I love to look out the kitchen window and see this lil beauty standing tall!

The trumpet vine is crazy this year, we really need to cut it back again before Winter.

Yesterday I ran to Jo-Ann's with my mom and the lil guy while sissy's were in school, I saw some great Fall decorations but some of them after looking at..I think I could make it! i was also looking for the new Gooseberry Patch Fall/Autumn book but they didn't have it, I did pick up a book on "Green" Cleaning...Very interested in this!

Enjoy your Tues.! It's rainy here this morning and I'm enjoying it with my coffee :)

My Gardens and House

Thought I'd share a few pics of my gardens, I didn't have to do anything ...Everything was here when we moved in but last year I didn't see anything blooming so this Spring has brought many a surprise to us!My roses by the front stairs, see that greenage growing over the stairs...Poison Ivy!! That's why I'm afraid to weed around here! Anyone know how to remove it and use some sort of control spray...Do they even have that stuff??
My garden, It's also riddled with poison ivy so I'm leaving it be for now but it's so pretty!!
Another view, see that weeded patch? The only spot with no poison ivy!
This is the front of the house, We are working on Curb appeal but really it's not needed because we have huge hedges blocking the view from the road. I love my bay window!

WEEK 4/ IN THE GARDEN /FARMGIRL BLOG THON 4/23/08-4/27/08

Welcome to Week 4 of the Farm Girl Blog A Thon!(4/23/08 to 4/27/06)

Since this is a first attempt of having a Garden this year, I have no pics of my Gardens, We did go to TS for seeds this past Sat. We grabbed up some Carrots, Pumpkins (Abby wants to grow some), squash and we are going to buy some Tomatoes later. We have plotted out the Garden and will borrow a tiller from our neighbor. This is where we will be this weekend! I really want to grow Sunflowers and was given some seeds from a Swap and have bought Merigolds to add to the borders of our Garden.

I'm looking for ways to keep the Deer and Bunnies out of our Garden, Please pass me your ideas for this?
