Welcome Fall

Even though here in FL we do not see much of this Season, I do remember the leaves changing in OH and crisper temps.

I am on my way to buy some Apple Cider (from Wal-Mart here sadly not from a fruit stand like back up north) to celebrate Fall!

I hope your Sunday is as nice as ours is today, calm and relaxing but still hot.

Labor Day Apple Picking

G'ma Terri came over this weekend for a short visit and our First Apple Picking Day! We checked the Apples and some were ready to be picked but others need some more time in the sun. We think around the middle of the month..of course we are not really sure, first time having an apple tree (and we have 5)!

Yesterday we had a BBQ with my mom and sisters..We sat around and watched" No Reservations" and "Becoming Jane" plus we ate way to much cake!





Please help me out and send me your Apple Recipes..I'm going to attempt to make a pie, applesauce and hopefully Apple Butter...and with 5 trees...I better get cracking!

Hoss and Apples Plus Peach Recipes

Boy We are all sluggish here today, early this morning at 4:33 there was a nasty thunderstorm, kids woke up and was able to get back to sleep afterwards but I was unable to until 6 am, then 9 am came and I'm still sipping on coffee..LOL..

My mom brought over some Peaches from her tree, I was wondering if ya'll could share your recipes/ideas for Peaches here...I don't think that there is enough for canning perserves but maybe a simple cobbler...

Here is our burn pile for this weekend, I'm almost afraid to burn it...very tall and LOTS of trees in there!
Okay Had to share this..see that apple tree in the background? When we put the fence in we just thought it was a tree...no apples last year cuse of the drought...this year..WOW! SO every day there seems to be less and less...this morning I caught them in the act!! Thank goodness we have 4 in our yard!! I can't wait for apple pie...Again YUMMO!!
