Stash Bags

My new Stash bag, it has a loop tie for tieing the top. This was so fun to stitch up!
The back of both of them, simple tea stain.

Another fun stitch up, Holds alot! Both are available on my Etsy shop.

My Mother's day was so nice, DH cooked breakfast and I got to watch a great movie with the kids and then go back to bed to read for half the day!

Today Abigail got her Kindergarten shots, 4 of them, came home and she was sick for the rest of the day, couldn't hold anything down, I'm wondering if it's the shots or something other.
DH was in the ER and is now home sleeping, He has severe IBS and his gallbladder was acting up, poor guy is on so many meds now and has to see a specialist on Fri. and get an Hydascan.

I'm ready for the night to be over, after feeding HOSS I'm going to read and drink a nice cup of
tea.

My Crafty Weekend

On Sunday I went with my Mother to visit the Cincinnati Art Museum to see the new exhibition, Masterpiece Quilts from the Shelburne Museum, You can read the info about it here http://www.cincinnatiartmuseum.org/absolutenm/templates/ArtTempExhibitions.aspx?articleid=603&zoneid=65

It was amazing to see the workmanship on these quilts, the colors were so vibrant still! Afterwards my mother and I visited the quilt giftshop and I found this treasure waiting for me,
Ohio Is My Dwelling Place: Schoolgirl Embroideries, 1800-1850 by Sue Studebaker.

I'm very excited to read this and I enjoyed looking and learning about all of the quilts and the people that made them!

Farmgirl Crafts

WELCOME TO WEEK 5 -FARM GIRL BLOG A THON-

"GETTING CRAFTY"
(4/28/08 to 5/2/08)

I Love to Stitch Pillows and Kitchen Towels. It relaxes me at night and I stitch outside while the kids are playing, I think back to many other ladies crafting after the chores are done for the day. I take pride in my neat, close stitches and am always thinking of new stitcheries to do. I am welcomed by ideas from my kids books, cartoons, and my magazines. I Enjoy walking into a room and seeing a pillow being displayed that I have worked hard on!

WEEK 4/ IN THE GARDEN /FARMGIRL BLOG THON 4/23/08-4/27/08

Welcome to Week 4 of the Farm Girl Blog A Thon!(4/23/08 to 4/27/06)

Since this is a first attempt of having a Garden this year, I have no pics of my Gardens, We did go to TS for seeds this past Sat. We grabbed up some Carrots, Pumpkins (Abby wants to grow some), squash and we are going to buy some Tomatoes later. We have plotted out the Garden and will borrow a tiller from our neighbor. This is where we will be this weekend! I really want to grow Sunflowers and was given some seeds from a Swap and have bought Merigolds to add to the borders of our Garden.

I'm looking for ways to keep the Deer and Bunnies out of our Garden, Please pass me your ideas for this?

Week 3/ Domestic Bliss/In The Kitchen (Farm Girl Blog-A-Thon)

Some Random Pics of my New farmgirl Kitchen. We have had our first Thanksgiving and Christmas here and it's so large Everyone was hanging around the Island/Bar and chatting and helping me cook. This is where I hope to have heart-to-Heart talks with my kids and all of their friends. One day I hope to have someone over for Coffee and share recipes, Still haven't met very many people. I have started to collect Gooseberry Patch Cookbooks and have started to try one recipe a week from there. We have had the Meatloaf made with crushed up Pretzels last week and it was really good, so that has become a keeper! This summer we will make use of the Island by making tons of Apple Pies, We have 4 trees that are now in bloom, Hopefully we will have some Apples to share! My Farmgirl Kitchen means to me Family, Friends and Food..A Peaceful combo.
