Feeling Better, Thanks Ya'll

I'm feeling better, I made myself fold the laundry and clean the house. Friday night we went to a supper at Church and a Graduation assembly for 2 of the kindergarten kids, was up very late..lol.. then today we worked all day in the yard mowing and weeding (DH is now having a bad allergy attack) and I got the grocery shopping done. Tomorrow is Church and then home to relax..Only 2 more days of school, Tuesday is the last day and Crystal gets home early.

I'm feeling so much better, I often over think everything and give myself the "Blues", Thanks for such nice and caring comments! It's good to know you have Friends in Blogland!

Lack of Energy...

So I'm tired..

Don't want to fold clothes

Don't want to leave the house

Don't want to stitch

Nothing seems to sound good for lunch

Not looking forward to Summer

Have nothing good to blog about

Worried about bills/lack of money

I'm going to take a nap while the kids rest today

Might take a bloggy break till something interesting happens...

Tea Time Anyone?

We are having a nice day here, playing outside and getting ready for G'ma to come over for a BBQ. DH is over at the Church setting up their new computers and I just got done with these lil stitches. I'm wanted outside so I'll post them on my Etsy shop later tonight. 2 clothe napkins that I have stitched on in black floss. Great size too :)

First Lost Tooth and Oldie Records

Abigail lost her first tooth today while eating lunch, My mom brought us lunch and goodies. Please excuse Abigail's cracker crumbs..lol..


My mom also brought this over since she found herself not using it very much, we will get so much use out of it this summer!


My mom brought these over, she has had these since she was pregnant with me. We are enjoying an afternoon of listening to these and eating popcicles.

Preschool Sites and Ideas for Lil Guy?

I'm going to try to get started on Preschool for lil guy..He is 4 now and showing interest when his sister's are doing their homework. Any ideas on sites where I can print off pages for numbers and ABC's..What has worked for you?

On another note..We are having trouble with the school and Crystal..I'm so upset that I can hardly put into words my thoughts...They have recommended that we put Crystal on meds for ADD even though we have seen no signs of this in our home..She is struggling in 2 subjects in school but making good grades in the other subjects...After doing some on-line research we (DH and I ) have decided to remove the TV's in the house (It has been studied that in kids watching TV and ADD go together)..We are leaving one TV in the basement to use as a reward to watch DVD's on but we have total control over what they watch. I'm having Crystal start reading out loud to me this summer, 1 chapter a night.

We might pull Crystal out of the public school and into a Christian school.

The Dawes Arboretum

On Sunday after Church we were invited to go explore a great park named "The Dawes Arboretum" in Newark OH. It is a treasure trove of flowering plants and trees. The perfect place for a picnic and picture taking! We are looking forward for a return trip soon as we ran out of time.


These are the hedges that spell out "Dawes Arboretum", we climbed the high tower but wasn't on there for long cuse you could feel the tower sway with every step. It was scaring the kids..really..the kids..lol..

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

2 lil napkins in the making, one will say "Friends" the other "Family". I love to use these instead of paper napkins and I throw them in with my towels. I'll be stitching these while watching "18 Kids and Counting" which I DVR'd last night.


The Before, very cluttered with all the hodge-podge.


I moved all the papers and hung the rolling pin hanger on this side since my cookbooks are here, it's a lovely lil built in that was here when we moved in. I want to hang that nice yellow plate underneath the hanger but need to find the right size plate hanger for it still. My Great Aunt Hazel stitched those 2 blue towels I have hanging over my blue antique bowl and the hand held antique mixers were hers also. I do have to re-hang my calender though, my DH (I'm surprised to find out) actually pays attention to what I write on it..lol..I confused him the other day cuse he went to see it and it was gone so I'm thinking I'll tape it to the fridge to please him.


I like how this shelf looks but not sure about the sign, I think it needs to be bigger. I'm wondering if a lil stitchery would look nice underneath the shelf?

Dove Visibly Smooth

I was chosen to test out Dove's new product Visibly Smooth deodorant. I received 1 full size Dove Visibly Smooth and many $2.00 off coupons.

I'm so pleased with this product, it has left my underarms very smooth and soft (I have very thick hair). I would not normally buy Dove because we are watching our pennies but this is something I would like to continue. The scent is soft and not overwhelming so it does not over power my perfume, which I really like!

This is one new product that I'm happily pleased with!

Happy Mother's Day!

OH What a great day it was, A great church service(Where I got a flower and I won a huge mirror) followed by a family cookout with my mom and my MIL then back to church for evening service. My 10 year old DD made me a cute card with a lil poem:

Your as Pretty as a Rose
and as Tough as a Thorn
I Love you Mom!

Now how sweet is that!! I see a Stitched Pillow in the future..lol..

A Birthday and Anniversary All Rolled Into One!

My DH Richard is turning 32 today and It's our 12 year Anniversary (Yes, we got married on his birthday, the joke is he'll never forget our Anniversary!) I'm so proud of my DH, he is a great Dad, wonderful Husband, My best friend!

National Day of Prayer

Today was National Day of Prayer and the President of the United States did NOT participate.

How do you feel about this?

I'm saddened today, We need to pray about our nation tonight.

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

After 2 years this lil corner is getting a makeover! I have the bad habit of putting things here and there and leaving it alone for a LLOONNGG time..lol..so I'm sprucing up so it doesn't look like we just moved in, Stay tuned for upcoming pics.

Today Crystal goes to Children's Hospital for her Mole Removal, we are going to be gone all day.

A Lil Surprise from a New Friend

I have met the nicest lady at our new Church, her daughter is in my daughters class and we had no idea till we really started to talk and from there our friendship grew. She brought over such a nice gift after seeing how much I love my Roosters! She has even offered her help on Wed. when DD goes in for her Mole Removal Surgery. You just don't often find such good kind people anymore!

Today was a really nice day, went to a nice lil antique store (of course I forgot my camera)with my mom and just browsed till I found a 1962 copy of "Heloise Household Hints", I had to pick this lil book up and bring her home for a good read.

So Wed. DD goes in for her lil surgery, she is very scared and every day we have to comfort her, She's 10 and if I could go thru it for her I would! It should be a lil in and out surgery and lots of hugs and ice cream afterwards!

Etsy back Open

I've decided to try Etsy once again..My craft room is piling up with my Stitches! I'll be listing more later today.

DH is feeling much better, no it was not the swine flu..just the flu. Now lil guy is showing signs of coming down with it. We are watching Noggin and I'm stitching. I've opened the windows to air out the house.
