Crystal's Christmas Band Concert

Last night Crystal had her Christmas Band Concert.  She did really well, She brought home her Saxophone and practiced Jingle Bells many nights.

She gets her musical talents from her Dad, not from me..lol..

We are very proud of her!

Busy Running with Kids

I hope you had a great 3 day weekend, We had a great pool/bbq day. Just an easy day with family that stopped in.

I've been very busy catching up with my book reviews, sorry to post so many in one shot but with moving and getting settled I was so behind. Do you enjoy reading the reviews or skip them?

I've been re-arranging the living room and I think I have it the way I like until we can buy one huge wall unit. I'm still looking for a pic for above the T.V.

 

We have had Richards Kindergarten class play and he was a Ladybug...so cute!

This little guy slowly made his way thru our backyard thankfully while the kids were in school and the dogs were inside..lol..

Last but not least we ran back up to the farmhouse in OH to grab the last of our stuff, that whole ride was a trip as the tire on the trailer we rented from U-haul had a flat on the side of the mountain in W. Virginia which cut us back 3 hours on travel time...then the transmission in my car overheated because of the trailer just 5 mins from our house...unpacked, car is fine, everything is getting settled.

I'm ready for Summer just so the kids and I can catch our breath, really concentrate on setting up the bedrooms how they want them and no schedules!! Hopefully meet some kids our age and maybe a Mom or two for me to chat with.

What are your plans for the Summer? Staycation or some traveling involved?

Christmas Band Concert 2010

Crystal is in Band this year and learning how to play the Sax. Lots of practicing and last night was their Christmas concert. She was so very nervous but looked so pretty in her new dress we found at Kohl's. She was sitting behind the piano so we couldn't see her play the Sax, but we know she did great for only a few months of practicing!

The video is rather shaky, I have to work on that but Please enjoy the Festive singing!

A Christmas Play~2008

On Tuesday night was the girls Christmas Play...Both girls were singing in it this year! The first pic is of Abigail's Kindergarten class..Abigail is in the first row with the jean dress, white tights and black headband..

then the 3rd graders sang, this is the whole 3rd graders in the school..Crystal is barley visible in this pic..

I love how small our school is and that we are beginning to know everyone.

DH is sick with a nasty bug and yesterday I was busy helping our lil guy, he was sick too...tons of laundry for me today!

My surprise package and a Play

This is Crystal at her play last night, she did wonderful and only forgot some of the words. We are so proud of her!


I received a nice Package from a drawing that I entered sometime ago, it's a lovely package of fabric, needles, doileys and finished squares that I'm hoping to make into a small quilt. I had to quickly fold all of my laundry to lay it out on my bed, so excited and keep playing around with the patterns! ElectricDunce from MaryJane's Farmgirl Connection has outdid herself on her package!

I also joined Amy's new OH Farmgirl's Chapter. I'm excited about this! Since moving to this house and planning on a Gardening and canning fruit, I'm going to learn all I can. Please stop by MaryJane's Farmgirl Connection and say "HI"!

My Weekend finds

WOW, This is late but last Sat. we went to the first Craft Show of the season here in Bremen OH. It was filled with lots of Avon and Tupperware products but I did find this adorable Bunny that a nice Lady made out of her home, She even kissed the little bunny Goodbye! I love those Carrots, I need to remove that ribbon holding them together though.

I'm busy Spring cleaning and re-decorating somewhat. Will post pics later on as I have the time. We are off to a play at DD's school, She is singing tonight with her class and is scared.
