Teen Bedroom Makeover

With Abigail in her Teens now, she certainly has her own ideas and opinions on how she would like things to be.

We try to accommodate her when we can. She wanted a more grown-up looking bedroom this year. So...begone her mixed colors and patterns.

We ran to BigLots and found a nice Black and White comforter for her new Full size bed. We also ran over to Dollar General for these black and white baskets that I saw last month...as of today my local store still had a few.

We bought these two nightstands from a local FB page and transformed them with some white spray paint last week. I love how the new handles give the set a new fresh, updated look.

Now we are on the lookout for Pillows to add color.

So what colors would go best with this set for a Teens room, Ideas?

Boys Bedroom Makeover~Tank's Room

Tank's bedroom was in some desperate need of TLC. Since moving into this house we have slowly been working on each room and his was truly lacking. 

So when I saw these curtains from Sears that a local FB group yard sale site had listed, I knew that they were going to be my starting point for his room. 

I do need 2 more panels to allow more coverage. They match his comforter so well!

This Sunday my Husband finished this Nerf gun holder. It was a great Pinterest project that I saw and asked him to make it. He did a wonderful job!!

We still would like to replace his desk and dresser and I'm looking for some artwork for over his bed. 

Why are Boys rooms so much harder to decorate than Girls?

IKEA~Yes Please

So this past Weekend Husband and I made our very first trip to IKEA!

I know, Where have we been!

Husband was looking for some Desk ideas and I just wanted to browse and take it all in. 

As we entered I saw this Beautiful bed

And Instantly fell in Love!

And then we both saw this

Love the cabbage roses but after awhile Husband admitted it wasn't for him. 

Then...

We both saw this and we Both love how cozy it looks. I love the colors and patterns. We haven't updated our bedroom in about forever so Slowly I'll be using this as our Inspiration and change out our Master. 

I did purchase this IKEA URSULA cozy couch throw. It reminds me of a Cableknit sweater and is so cozy on our couch. The color goes perfect with our BHG flowered couch throw.

Preteen Bedroom Makeover~Abigail's Room

Abigail has asked for more of a Girly Tween room so I sat down to my computer and spent a day on Pinterest, I have Pinned so many Girly rooms, if you've seen my Pinterest page then Golly  Ya know what I'm talking about!!

After working all Weekend, Here is our After~

There are a few more items to purchase in time.  Such as more Pictures!
