Sunday Inspirations

Good Morning or early Afternoon!

We are truly being Lazy today, Richard is in his office cleaning/organizing/puttering, the kids are playing Animal jam together and Crystal is finishing up mowing the back pasture- a true 2 day job but she likes to help out and is part of her chore since we bought the Horse for her. I'm starting to read a new book ( The Newcomer by Robyn Carr) and finish up the never ending laundry.

We are trying something new on Sundays~ Not leaving the house, total jammie day. So far, so good but I know this afternoon someone is going to get bored and want to go somewhere.

Whatever your Doing today, Make it a Good One!

Thornville Backwoods Fest 2010

I went on Friday to the Thornville Backwoods Fest and had so much fun looking at the arts and crafts and smelling the great BBQ that was wafting in the air. Due to some vendors not wanting to be filmed or me even taking photos of their crafts for fear that I'd copy them I was only able to get a view minutes of video (you can watch some of the goodies that people have bought as they walk out) but at the end you can see the Awesome Americana Wreath the I bought and promptly hung up in my kitchen and the 3 stars that have Cinnamon/Apple pottpurie? that will hang in my kitchen windows. Isn't that Flag Wreath the Best?

SuperKids Camp 2009

http://www.superkidsonline.org/
You can read more here on this great camp.

This year both Crystal and Abigail got to go to camp, 3 days 2 nights of fellowship and learning about GOD. They both had a blast and came home so sleepy.

This year Richard is helping out by running the cameras and learning the soundboard, next year I'll help out since they do have babysitting for the younger kids..Tank has 2 years before he can attend.

I'm working on a big project for the girls and will post as soon as I finish, this is going out of my comfort zone but is turning out so sweet!!

Metamorphosis Monday~Monogramed Pic

I took this lil pic which I have had since I was a teenager and after seeing everyone's monogrammed framed pics that I-oh-so-dearly-wanted-but-can't-afford-today..I turned it into this...

It turned out Cute and will sit upon a painted white shelf as soon as the shelf dries. Do I paint the frame or leave it as is...still pondering... It took no money and less then 5 minutes!

I LOVE http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ Please go visit and see what other Ladies are doing at Metamorphosis Monday!

Sewing Room Reveal

It's been months in the making but we are now finished..I am so excited to share with ya'll today! I still have to find storage for some craft items but most is put away. DH has built a wall where there was none before and added a door..We have painted a nice shade of yellow..still need to find some curtains for the window..You can tell how yucky it is outside..lol..I now have space for my quilt table to unfold in the middle of the room and notice my new sewing machine wall..The cabinet holds all of my fabric still but I have the addition of cable T.V. for my fav. shows. We found a home for the futon on the wall for guests..still need to hang some things today. OH and Please notice my NEW carpet..DH bought it from work many months ago, the color is a mixed Blue and looks nice with the Yellow walls..they are carpet tiles that you stick down..very nice and easy to clean! We hope to be able to put up a drop ceiling some time in the future.

Sorry that the pics are dark and grainy..Very yucky day mixed with an old camera..lol..

Can you see/think of any more storage ideas? I'd love some shelves above the quilt table one day.

2 New Crafts and Some Movies to stay Warm by the Fire With

I have finished the Valentine Pillow and have posted it in my PictureTrail shop..It's such a cute little pillow and has endless display options..I can see it on a cute shelf or used as a bowl filler. I'm also in love with how my 4th of July towel turned out. I'm having so much fun stitching and dreaming of these little handids finding a great home but I'm also having fun trying to take the pics too, so much fun thinking of how to display the craft in a cute way!
I've been busy Stitching and reading, We also splurged and got 2 movies to watch the other night, "1408" was a scary but strange Stephen King flick, it didn't scare me as much as I heard it would. "28 Weeks Later" DH loves these kind of movies, it was a gore fest just for the gore, not much of a point and I found myself daydreaming thru this!
it's nasty cold here, snowy with a massive chill factor, I was able to go to the barn and feed HOSS but that was all I could do. I'm dreaming of Spring and sunshine!
