Spring has Sprung

It's warming up here in FL. Each new day the temps rise and it's the perfect time to start opening up the windows and get your gloves ready for planting flowers.

I have bought a little Herb Planter for my kitchen window, lots of sun shining through here in the afternoons. 

I bought this at Home Depot for under $8.00. Now I have fresh Basil, Oregano and Parsley. 

I moved my Ponytail plant over here and it seems to like this little wall so far. 

Next weekend we plan on buying some flowers for our outside patio but for now we are back to school after a nice Spring Break.

Spring Break 2014

So Spring Break 2014 has started with a trip to our local Barnes and Nobles where we let the kids pick out 1 new book to start reading.

After the bookstore we drove over to Melbourne Beach for some quick beach time even though we were not really dressed for the beach, sometimes ya just have to go with the flow and have Fun!

Sorry It's been so long since I've sat down to post! I've kept busy with Spring clean-up, a visit from my FL Sister and her 2 kiddos, Spring Break and some BBQing. I've fit in some movie watching and some reading. The girls go back to school on Monday and my days will go back to normal. I'll see ya'll then.

Where Have I Been Again and Some Struggles

We have been busy joining a Church the last few weeks and last night we had a very nice dinner with the Pastor and his wife.

I'm struggling with how much time I use the computer during the day and my feelings of disapointment of the lack of interest on my bookshelf blog..I'm thinking of deleting it since it take time away from my family to post the books on it.

I'm also struggling with the feelings of having to post something every day, Do many of you feel this way?

I have gone to the Library and checked out some Beverly Lewis books and I'm feeling better about taking time to read, no more Horror books for this gal!

I'll continue to re-evaluate somethings in our life and the kids are on Spring Break starting tomorrow so I'm going to be in and out.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend has gone by so fast, It's also Spring break here for Crystal so we are trying to keep busy. Sat. We had visitors over to take scrap metal that the previous owners had left, their truck got stuck in our muddy back yard and so we had to call a nice nieghbor and have pull him out with his tractor, this took all afternoon and the whole ordeal wasn't over till 6:00! We were tired after they left so we fixed easy Tacos and went to bed.

Easter Sunday was nice and sunny, still little chilly but nice, we were able to hunt for eggs outside. We had a nice ham dinner with my Sister and her family, my mom had a cold and so did DH mom so it was just Sis/family and us. We ate and watched "August Rush", "Enchanted", and "Mr. Woodcock" while the guys talked Computers.

New Farmgirl Towel

I hand stitched this towel ( Lovely towel came from Pam @ Beehind Thyme Primitives) outside today while the kids are playing, We have Sun and little breeze. Trying to dry out...Crystal is on Spring break for the rest of the week, doesn't go back till next Tues. We are enjoying the sun and found some new flowers blooming in my Garden!
