Busy Running with Kids

I hope you had a great 3 day weekend, We had a great pool/bbq day. Just an easy day with family that stopped in.

I've been very busy catching up with my book reviews, sorry to post so many in one shot but with moving and getting settled I was so behind. Do you enjoy reading the reviews or skip them?

I've been re-arranging the living room and I think I have it the way I like until we can buy one huge wall unit. I'm still looking for a pic for above the T.V.

We have had Richards Kindergarten class play and he was a Ladybug...so cute!
This little guy slowly made his way thru our backyard thankfully while the kids were in school and the dogs were inside..lol..

Last but not least we ran back up to the farmhouse in OH to grab the last of our stuff, that whole ride was a trip as the tire on the trailer we rented from U-haul had a flat on the side of the mountain in W. Virginia which cut us back 3 hours on travel time...then the transmission in my car overheated because of the trailer just 5 mins from our house...unpacked, car is fine, everything is getting settled.

I'm ready for Summer just so the kids and I can catch our breath, really concentrate on setting up the bedrooms how they want them and no schedules!! Hopefully meet some kids our age and maybe a Mom or two for me to chat with.

What are your plans for the Summer? Staycation or some traveling involved?

More Medical Testing....More Waiting

I'm sorry that I haven't posted much of anything for some time now, I have been reading and keeping up with ya'll but have little energy to post myself.

Without going into too much detail..After being late for almost 2 months now and many HPT later I went to the DR yesterday to find out that NO I'm not pregnant...that it could very well be my Thyroid...which would be why I'm just to tired all day long and have no gumption to start a project of any kind. Being sleepy-headed sure makes it hard to keep up a house with 5 people, poor DH woke up this morning to find that his fav. pair of pants was still dirty and forget about cooking and then cleaning the kitchen afterwards for dinner, I'd just be happy with a bowl of cereal then head for bed. I'm doing what I can and trying hard not to complain...complaining gets you no where.

I did get 2 loads of laundry done today and traced out 27 bats for Abigail's class tomorrow. I'm working on a shopping list right now. I do a little and then rest..lil guy is reading a book in bed so I think I'm going to rest on the couch for a few.

I just wanted to update, I have enjoyed reading your blogs and love looking at your pics of Fall decorating!

Mom's New Little Toy

The Asus Eee PC is a subnotebook/netbook computer by Asus and a part of the Asus Eee product family. At the time of its introduction in late 2007, it was noted for its combination of a light weight, Linux operating system, solid-state drive and relatively low cost. Newer models have added the option of Windows XP operating system and traditional hard disk drives. Newer models have also increased in price, though they remain relatively inexpensive as laptops, and notably inexpensive for ultra-small laptops.

According to Asus, the name Eee derives from "the three Es," an abbreviation of its advertising slogan for the device: "Easy to learn, Easy to work, Easy to play".

DH brought this home today since he also got one for his new job. I'm getting used to it, It's the cutest smallest thing evveerr!!

Have any of you seen these or have one? How do you like it?

I'm hoping to be posting more and finally picking up my Stitching again. This summer has been rough on us due to job loss and then loss of my vehicle. I still have no vehicle but the house is clean. DH is back to work and is settling in okay, we aren't liking the fact that he gets home so late again but it's only been 2 weeks. The girls are back in school and doing really well, lil guy is finding out that he CAN play without them.

I hope that my next post will be full of stitching!
