Together Again

As it turns out...

Moving to OH is not in our future for our family at this time. Husband is driving home as I type this. Job was not what was introduced or explained to husband and after talking to his old workplace whom will happily take him back, we are staying in FL and will make the most of it!

It's all in God's hands.

Going Backwards.....

Big exciting news!

If you have been reading my blog for some time now than you know how we felt about leaving OH about 5 years ago...our house, family and friends....due to the economy, job loss and many of you were going through your own situations that made you stronger in the end.

Almost 5 years later and we have the chance to go back!

My Husband has received a wonderful job offer that we will be accepting and moving back to cooler temps, changing seasons and white Christmases!

We should be settled into our new house by Thanksgiving!

We are beyond excited for another chapter in our lives to begin!

If any of you are near the Central OH area Please share your fav. Country decorating store with me, I have a house to re-decorate!

Home Office Organization and Placement

The placement of my desk is very important to me. I need to be able to see around me and have a very calm but pretty area.

See this area? Not peaceful. It's right next to my Husbands desk area and he is not an Organized guy at times.

So today we moved my desk to another wall.
It took us about 2 hours to move the desk, get the phone set up and I simply took my time organizing.

I'm really liking that my Laptop has an permanent home, Plus when we have guests over I can close my desk up.

Welcome Home

Welcome home..

This Summer 2014 we signed a lease on a great house. Even though it's a Rental it's in fantastic shape plus it's in a great little neighborhood that is within walking distance to a lake/park.

We are fully moved in and have been here for about 3 weeks. So far all 3 kids have made friends and most nights can be found riding bikes and playing legos outside in the driveways until the streetlights come on.

It's been so nice being able to tell the kids to go play and have fun but to come inside when the Streetlights come on in the evenings, We've never done that before.

Yesterday I was busy getting the 2 younger kids enrolled in their new School and Crystal is getting ready to start her Virtual schooling on-line. School starts in another 2 weeks and I will be getting those school supplies bought.

I hope to have a few rooms and vignettes to share with you very soon.

Enjoy your Week!

New Zip Code- We've Moved

We've moved!

We are unpacking boxes and setting up a new house that we are Leasing.

After 2 years in an exceptionally small house, It was time to move forward.

I'm very excited to show you our new space and all the decorating options that I now have.

It's been a very long 2 weeks of packing up the old house and car-loads back and forth from old house to new house. We are in the home stretch though with minimal cleaning at the old house.

For now I will be putting up my feet and enjoying the rest of my Sunday.

Sisters Forever part 1

Warning~Very scary, depressing bedroom...

In a few short days this space which is in a sad state since we gave my Mom her bedroom set back will be transformed into a shared space between 2 sisters 4 years apart.

We have ordered a Bedroom set from Rooms-to-Go (2 twin beds and 1 nightstand to go in the middle) which will be delivered this Wed.!

We have taken apart the built in tv stand the landlord left here as you can see from the soon to be filled in nail holes in the right hand corner. We are having the room painted and both girls have agreed on a Horse theme.

We have decided to turn this into a Blessing.

So I ask You for ideas on shared spaces between Sisters...this is a Journey we have never taken before since we have been lucky enough that the 3 kids have always had their own room. Do you have fond memories of sharing with your siblings or do your kids share a room today?

Click on the Picture for a Wide view
We have decided to stay here in this Rental for another year, searching for a house with land within 3 school systems was turning out to be a futile effort as there was not one house available within our time period.

The Landlady has decided to Lower the Rent, and let us update the house the way we prefer. All of which has made us very Happy this month!

Since we are staying another year, We have decided to have the girls share the biggest room and this will then leave one bedroom open for Husband to have his Office again. He needs one for those late night On-Call sessions and his Ham Radios.

Exploring Ham

My Husband has had his Ham Radio License for some time now and today he finished his "Go Kit". Throw it in the back of his truck, head for the woods and throw a line up a tree and talk to people from all over. Just tonight in our backyard alone we talked to a gentleman across the pond, as they say!

As for house hunting we have put it on hold since Husband has to travel for work in July and we do keep getting disappointed in every house we look at.

Husband had a nice Father's Day, he finished his project and I cooked a big dinner and we just relaxed outside, the simple relaxing day was good for us.

Have a Great Week my Friends!

Stitching With Love

It's not a very good pic, taken with my Iphone but it feels so good to be stitching again after taking the year off.

This took me all day while breaks were taken with the kids, tonight we will resume packing..We have found a small house for rent that gives us more of the Country feel that we have been missing.

More updates to come!

One Wall 2 Different Looks

This is so much better!!
I need to hang that big pic. that is leaning on the floor and you can see that I have started to decorate for  the Holidays.

Busy Running with Kids

I hope you had a great 3 day weekend, We had a great pool/bbq day. Just an easy day with family that stopped in.

I've been very busy catching up with my book reviews, sorry to post so many in one shot but with moving and getting settled I was so behind. Do you enjoy reading the reviews or skip them?

I've been re-arranging the living room and I think I have it the way I like until we can buy one huge wall unit. I'm still looking for a pic for above the T.V.

We have had Richards Kindergarten class play and he was a Ladybug...so cute!
This little guy slowly made his way thru our backyard thankfully while the kids were in school and the dogs were inside..lol..

Last but not least we ran back up to the farmhouse in OH to grab the last of our stuff, that whole ride was a trip as the tire on the trailer we rented from U-haul had a flat on the side of the mountain in W. Virginia which cut us back 3 hours on travel time...then the transmission in my car overheated because of the trailer just 5 mins from our house...unpacked, car is fine, everything is getting settled.

I'm ready for Summer just so the kids and I can catch our breath, really concentrate on setting up the bedrooms how they want them and no schedules!! Hopefully meet some kids our age and maybe a Mom or two for me to chat with.

What are your plans for the Summer? Staycation or some traveling involved?

Are We Home or Just Visiting? House Pics Included in Your Stay!

Don't they look so Excited! This was after a full day of driving that took 2 days to get to FL.

This is our 2 story 5 bedroom new rental, I did manage to find the time to hang my Americana wreath on the front door.

This is our front formal living room..

Very huge kitchen...My Roosters have got to somehow get to the top of the cabinets...lol...

Our eating area....not much of a backyard compared to our almost 6 back in OH.

This would be the family room but it will be part sewing room for my Mom and office space for my Husband...A room with many hats!

I know it's not very pretty right now and really boring. It took me 4 years to make my Farm house comfy cozy and now we move to FL...

Any and All decorating ideas for these HUGE walls Please??!!

Country Mouse and City Mouse~ Part 2

Hello!! It feels like a lifetime ago since I sat down to post. How is everyone doing? We are finally settling in here.

After thinking we were going to move to Washington D.C. for a new job Richard received a call from Nemours Children's Hospital here in Orlando FL. They are opening up a brand new Hospital and saw Richards resume online and called him to come for an interview, he informed them that he had already accepted a position but was open for talking so he went and was hired within the week.

So we had to find a house in Orlando and move with less than 2 weeks...We did it!! We still need to go back and clean up our farmhouse and rent a U-Haul for some leftovers in about 2 months. My Mom has moved in with us and she still has to finish moving too but really we are having fun setting up house.

This is NOT our house but very close to it, I'm charging my camera now for pics later. It's in a lovely gated community with private boat dock and a Elementary School within walking distance. There are so many kids playing outside in the evening and my kiddos love it. It's a huge change from our 6 acres and no noise but we hope that this will start to feel like home very soon.

Before we left OH we donated HOSS our Horse to a rescue that gives the horses a Forever home. We brought our dogs Coffee and Sniffer and they traveled pretty well in the car and slept in the hotel okay, we could tell Sniffer was very scared but Coffee went along and after getting comfy, she snored!

Richard starts his job tomorrow and we are wishing him the very best and I'm hoping to have most of the house unpacked and done when he gets home. I hate the feeling of not being able to find my stuff around me...hahah..Later this week I need to get all 3 enrolled into the school here.

I do need to revamp my decorations as all of my farmhouse decorations simply looks odd in this FL style house. If you have any ideas Please share!!

Country Mouse and City Mouse~ Moving Announcement

That's how we feel right now, I waited till we were truly positive that this was going to happen and it Really is!!

We are moving to the Washington D.C. area!!!

Richard has received an offer for a big company that we simply can not pass up due to the Awesome Health Insurance, Full time work NOT contract and relocation package, pay aint to shabby either!

We have lived here on our almost 6 acres for about 4 years and even though I do love it, Richards health is not what it used to be and its alot of mowing and fence upkeep and the Winters are so hard.

We have found a great rescue for Hoss and he will be leaving within the next couple of weeks, We hope to find a rental that will allow the 2 dogs, even if we have to pay extra. My Mom wants to move along with us, She really hasn't been doing well either Health wise since my Dad passed away. She will follow about 2 months after we get settled. The kids are getting excited but sad to leave friends and school. The slow going friendly country is all they've known.

We are in for some huge changes and hopefully we will adjust to City living in time...I'm not used to close neighbors but it will be so nice to be close to the grocery store. We will be working with the Realtor to find a nice house around Washington DC and not in the busy part, Richard can ride the metro into work!

I am excited to decorate a new house again and might mix things up in the new house...I've been looking thru tons of magazines for ideas....What kind of decorating do they do up that way? I'm just a bundle of nerves....

Richard will be leaving first and then we will follow in about a month.

Wanna see pics of me packing?  lol

Good Bye G'ma and the Fair 2010

I have been so busy here lately and it just has not slowed down, today I'm forcing us to stay home so I can get caught up on this tower of laundry and clean/dust here.
First G'ma Terri has moved to Florida to stay in a free Condo that was offered to them from her Husbands Sister... so of course they could not say NO and has put their Condo here up for sale and after making the rounds saying their "Good byes" they have left with the promise of visiting again soon! We got together for a quick lunch with her Mom and oldest daughter and oldest granddaughter, Here is 5 generations of family...
We are missing a few as work and school could not be missed. We Love and Miss ya'll!!

So now it's Fair time and the kids have the whole week off for it. Crystal got to show Coffee in the dog show this year and won a blue ribbon on her dog book which means she received an A!! Hard work pays off and man I had no idea how hard it would be, the show was at 8:00 in the morning and the judges were so picky (in my opinion). Crystal's best friend is showing her horse "Kikko" and we have been back and forth and  already  have spent sooo much money on fair food :) We helped set up the horse stalls and have to help take everything down and clean up in a few days too.
Here are a few fun pics from the fair...
Isn't Coffee getting so big? My Husband filmed the show and as soon as I'm able to I'll add it here.

We fixed the date on my camera but I wish we could just not have it there!

So that's what we've been doing and it's not over yet, The weather has been beautiful and we are loving it!! Hope your having great weather too:)
