Kayaking at Shingle Creek and Caught the Bug...

We are having so much fun with our new hobby...Kayaking!

So much so that we went and purchased 2 new to us Kayaks off of Craigslist. We caught the Kayaking bug after Kayaking at Shingle Creek with the kids last month,  We enjoyed it so much!

We then took them out for the first time across the lake that we live by , no kids and not 1 alligator was seen! It was a great time spent with my Hubby but I did learn that I need to take some time and study all of the different paddle strokes and which ones work best in choppy waters.

Next we need to purchase an actual kit for loading the kayaks on top of the car , right now we are using pool noodles but hey it works!

Enjoying every moment outside but can't wait for cooler temps!

Stitching With Love

It's not a very good pic, taken with my Iphone but it feels so good to be stitching again after taking the year off.

This took me all day while breaks were taken with the kids, tonight we will resume packing..We have found a small house for rent that gives us more of the Country feel that we have been missing.

More updates to come!

This One Bites the Dust

My Husband has gotten back into flying remote control airplanes since moving back to FL. I don't mind, I like to go and watch him fly, the kids like to watch him fly, we take snacks and make a day of it out at the field.

Except for this past Sat.  Hubby went with a couple of his co-workers very early in the morning and the kids were just blinking their eyes awake so he went by himself.

This is an older plane and he did buy it used so he knew of only a few of the issues with this plane, turns out the receiver went bad mid-flight.

Poor thing is totally dead!

I should have went with him..lol...This doesn't happen when I'm there..

Donna Moss, a former finalist from season one ofHGTV Design Star, is the host of the new series Donna Decorates Dallas. Each week Donna works with her two daughters, Tiffany and Ashley, along with a team of skilled artisans and craftsmen to create unique and timeless home interiors. As a former professional in the travel industry, Donna brings a global perspective to her designs. Her favorite design motifs include elegant Old World themes with glamorous Gothic tones and lush Hollywood-inspired rooms.

She has won numerous awards for her work and has been featured in several magazines since the beginning of her design business in the early 1980s.
Have you watched this new show on HGTV? I guess it's just new to me but I LOVE it!! I love how she decorates and I have written down so many great ideas for our house here...It's a rental but many of the ideas on her show I can still do. I'm not sure what you would say her decorating is, French Country..Traditional...It's just plan Beautiful...(So I read her Bio and should have read it first..lol)
I'm excited to see something that interests me back on HGTV...for awhile there I found HGTV to be full of same-same shows!
Her show is on Sat. nights at 10:30...I'm DVRing it cuse around here I never know what the Weekend is going to be like.
Enjoy your Weekend Ya'll!

I worked very hard on it last night and got it all set up! Now I have to start a new project and keep busy so I'm not waiting by this computer for someone to buy something! I'm so excited that I can't sit still, I have heard all good things about Etsy so I'm stressing about the results. How many of you feel this way after doing something really new?
