Book Worm Friday

In this sequel to A Time To Dance, high school football coach John Reynolds and his wife, Abby, are behaving like newlyweds after their reconciliation following a near-divorce. Their happiness is tempered, however, by John's problems at work. In particular, three boys trouble John--Nathan Pike (the "Goth"), who scribbles "death to jocks" in his notebook, and Jake Daniels and Casey Parker, the two football players who make Nathan's life miserable. When Jake and Casey challenge each other to a drag race, they cause an accident in which John is paralyzed from the waist down. As they try to come to terms with this tragedy, the struggles of each character, especially those of John's daughter, who previously held an unshakeable belief in God, are depicted in a believable and sympathetic manner. High school life and the real-world problems faced by the students, such as a brush with cyberporn, are also realistically rendered.

I'm almost done with this book, have at least 100 more pages to go. This story line is heartbreaking, In the end you will believe that with Faith God will get you thru the hard times.

A Time to Dance was a great read and I really loved the ending, if you haven't read these 2 books than I do recommend them to you.

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

This morning I'm dreaming about Spring and Flowers, I'm thinking of the changes I wish to make to the front of our house, nothing major, just the addition of flower pots and such. I'm so ready for Spring that I can taste it..lol..

This is the front of our house after we pulled up all these overgrown bee infested bushes last year, I'm planning on adding another humming bird feeder next to the bay window and lot more flowers, I want red geraniums all over! I also want some more seating for our porch.

I'm planning on adding some red flowers to this mix this year and making sure that I make time to weed better than I did last year. I love how this looks out my bay window!

It's already been a busy morning, lil Abby missed the bus so I had to drive her and since it's supposed to be so nice today I let HOSS out and play in the pasture. Now lil guy and I are out to take movies back to Blockbuster.

Have a Great Wed.

Update On My Neice Emily

Here is an e-mail from my Sister to everyone that is offering prayers/good thoughts, I told her I'd pass it on. They were released from the hospital on Tues. night as they are still searching for a good surgeon, while in the hospital the nurses had to put a sock over Emil's hand so she wouldn't pull out her I.V.

We got a date of Tuesday, February 17th at 10am to meet the Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Sacred Heart in Pensacola Fl.

It will be a short appointment to meet the surgeon and discuss her recommendations and Emilee's over all case of Craniosynostosis.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that her surgery can be performed soon.

Thank you again for all the Prayers.

Whatcha Working on Wed.

Today while sweeping I got a wild hair..I moved the buffet over to the middle of the wall and added my Blue Sunflower vase, which looks so nice next to my wallhanging. Then I added the plate hanger...I had it hanging in our old house and loved the look so after 2 years it's back up! I carefully placed my DH's G'ma's Rooster plates on there, DH used to eat breakfast on these while growing up with G'ma Graves. I wonder how much trouble I'll be in when he gets home..but they are too cute to store away!! They have no markings on the back, could they be hand painted?

Here is a close up of G'ma Graves painted Rooster plates...If these fall send in help cuse I'll be missing FOREVER...LOL..Later this summer I hope to find some Blue dessert plates to replace these and I think I'll paint the plate holder black.

I'm standing on my step up Kitchen now, I like the view from up here..Maybe find something to add height to the flower vase.

I'm debating on adding the long curtains to this window, I have the matching panels but not sure how it would look in the kitchen...Suggestions?

That's all that I was abl to do between folding more laundry and taking care of Lil A that is running a slight fever, it's got to be the strange weather we are having, last Sat. was so nice we let them run outside and play then today we are supposed to have Thunderstorms..UGGHH..

Enjoy your Wed. and check out more decorating ideas over at Leslie's blog

C's 10th Birthday Party at Gameworks

On Saturday we took the family to Gameworks at Easton to celebrate C's 10th birthday, G'ma Vivian and G'ma Terri were able to come along for the fun too. We spent about 3 hours playing some fun games but our fav. was the Ski Ball! After playing the games we walked around the stores and I got a great surprise which I'll show tomorrow. Everyone had a great time and then we came back home to a Pizza dinner and a homemade chocolate cake followed by opening presents. Since we were not able to invite C's friends due to short notice, we owe her a sleepover.

~Please, Need Massive Prayers~

My sister Jennifer just found out that her four month old baby girl Emily (my sweet lil niece) has a condition called Craniosynostosis, where the bones that makeup her skull have fused prematurely. This usually happens around the time you quit growing. Since Emily is still growing, her brain has nowhere to go and is literally squeezing itself as it tries to grow. Therefore she is going to have to undergo some pretty major surgery to completely reconstruct her skull. There are very few surgeons nationwide that perform this operation, so they are going to need your prayers to help find a good one, and for a successful completion of the procedure. And they will also obviously need your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Monday the Doctor's start the search for the best Pediatric Neurosurgen in the country, in addition her white blood count is very high and they have to find out why. Tomorrow Jennifer goes back into the Hospital to have Emily's blood checked again.

Lil Emily has a very long hard road ahead of her, Please pray for my lil Niece!
