Whatcha Working on Wed.

I moved this sweet lil Wall-hanging from my kitchen and hung it on the side of my Fireplace, The Flag tray that was here was looking old and cheap to me. DO you ever just get tired of an item that you've had almost Forever? Hopefully I'm not the only one or I'll just kick myself!


I rescued this sweet lil pitcher that my Mom was giving to Goodwill, swiped it right out of the box, shame on me..Shame on my Mom..lol I see sweet Wild flowers soaking up the sun in my bay window this summer..CUTE!!

I really have not done a thing this week except Laundry and keeping house. Do you ever just have an "off" week? Maybe next week will be brighter..

Whatcha Working on Wed.

Today while sweeping I got a wild hair..I moved the buffet over to the middle of the wall and added my Blue Sunflower vase, which looks so nice next to my wallhanging. Then I added the plate hanger...I had it hanging in our old house and loved the look so after 2 years it's back up! I carefully placed my DH's G'ma's Rooster plates on there, DH used to eat breakfast on these while growing up with G'ma Graves. I wonder how much trouble I'll be in when he gets home..but they are too cute to store away!! They have no markings on the back, could they be hand painted?


Here is a close up of G'ma Graves painted Rooster plates...If these fall send in help cuse I'll be missing FOREVER...LOL..Later this summer I hope to find some Blue dessert plates to replace these and I think I'll paint the plate holder black.


I'm standing on my step up Kitchen now, I like the view from up here..Maybe find something to add height to the flower vase.


I'm debating on adding the long curtains to this window, I have the matching panels but not sure how it would look in the kitchen...Suggestions?

That's all that I was abl to do between folding more laundry and taking care of Lil A that is running a slight fever, it's got to be the strange weather we are having, last Sat. was so nice we let them run outside and play then today we are supposed to have Thunderstorms..UGGHH..

My Farmhouse Wall Hanging

This is my Rooster Farmhouse Wall hanging. In 2005 my Great Aunt Hazel made this for me for Christmas, my Dad gave the Rooster key/mail holder next to it and I found the egg pic. Even though I'm switching everything to a Blue Farmhouse Kitchen and this has no blue in it..I proudly display!
My MIL found the egg pic for me, I couldn't remember, Sorry Mom...LOL
Can Roosters and Blue decor live together? I'm not sure but I'm gonna find out!

My Rooster Wall Hanging

Here is another wall hanging, My Great Aunt Hazel made me this one many years ago, It has become my Fav. piece in all of my Rooster collection. In every house it has hung in the kitchen, She was a great lady who was ALWAYS busy stitchen/sewing, She gave each of my kids a quilt and I'll post pics of those later on.

So I found this site called ShopGoodwill.com...I'm now officially hooked! The items on there varies from day to day and always a nice surprise to find something that you'd love to have and display in your house, fab. old quilts! I here that Ebay is the same but I have never gotten anything from there, My DH has but not I...I wonder how come it has taken me so long to discover it, Prob. cuse the kids are getting out of the diaper phase and I have a few minutes to myself during the day to explore more online.

Well with DH out of town for Business, I have come to realize that I do appreciate his help carrying the water buckets back and forth to the barn every day, my back is aching tonight. We hope to be able to have water run into the barn by next winter but for now we have to use our mudroom's sink and fill buckets. It's hard work but I love it when Hoss nickers at me!

My Lovely Wall Hanging

Here is a Wall hanging that my Mom made for me Thanksgiving 2007, I have it hanging in my Kitchen. I think that it's adorable hanging from a twig and I love the saying "Thank God for the Gifts you were Given and Learn to Live Within Your Harvest".

So now all of this snow is melting and we are swimming in Mud! The kids/dogs don't want to go outside and my daily walks to go feed/check on Hoss is horrible, slippery and icky.

I'm spring cleaning and re-decorating and collecting lotsa books. I saw 2 Robins this morning and the cardinals are singing!
