Horsey Stitches, No Stove and Colds

Last Friday night was a Doozy!

Joey freaked out while in the cross ties, we don't know why or what spooked him but he did a number on himself, ended up needed emergency stitches on his lip where he tore it. After 7 days the vet will come back and remove his stitches. The swelling has gone down and he's back to being his sweet self. For now we are not going to be putting back into the cross ties until we are able to get Crystal's trainer out here to work with him.

So after the Vet left and Joey was tucked in for the night I went to fix a fast dinner, it was late and we were tired, I was thinking about some tator tots/nuggets and a veggie. As I was waiting for the stove to heat up the element decides now is a good time to die. Alot of sparking, smoking and even though I turned off the oven in a panic, It kept going almost causing a fire! So fast forward to today, we are still without a stove, Landlady said one is supposed to be delivered sometime on Thursday..I'm thankful for my Crock-pot and our Grill.

Last night I started to feel run down and had a slight sore throat so I went to bed early but this morning it's so much worse, every time I swallow it feels like I'm swallowing glass. Ouch!!

I wanted to post every day in March but these past few days have run me down.

I'll be back with a Happier post in a few days, I have ton's of posts I want to do but have no energy to do them.

One Wall 2 Different Looks

This is how this wall looked after we moved in about 8 months ago, it did the trick but now that Hubby has a dedicated office....

This is so much better!!
I need to hang that big pic. that is leaning on the floor and you can see that I have started to decorate for  the Holidays.

It Started With a Counter Wipe-Down.....

I was in the kitchen wiping down my counters and I moved my White Roo next to my stove..mmm Looks nice...next I moved the Roo lamp over to the same counter..hey looks great... Sorry about the glare from that window..

Next I moved my Sunflowers together in a grouping next to my coffee pot and of course had to have a Roo there too...that darling lil white vase holds our Wine Corks, I'm on the lookout for a real holder for them. I Love my Roo Scentsy Holder, Thank You Jenny ( my Lil Sis)

This counter is a challenge for me as I really don't know what to add there but I hope this looks good... I love the Scroll design on this Butter Yellow plate that I found at T.J.Maxx for a steal and my Tractor Supply Store Roo from a couple of Christmas's ago. I added the fun Family pics to this vignette. What do you think?

Here is a shot of my new Bonsai that I got at Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago, so far very healthy and I haven't killed it!

My kitchen is slowly transforming from a House to a Home!
Keeping it real, there is always something going on at the table..today it's Princess puzzles!

All The Better to See You With

OLD~Simple gold frame glasses about 6 years old, really time for a change (and on the plus side my eyes haven't changed that much)!

NEW~Very nice, again simple black frames that make my eyes really *pop*

I also got a new haircut, layered around the face. I love how nice it looks and I still kept my length.

A night shot of my Fav. Rooster lamp, I'm thinking of maybe changing the shade to a linen/burlap one.

I hope you have a Great rest of the week!

Roosters and Sunflowers

Some Country French Updates in the kitchen are Happening...SMILES!!!!!

We have been busy here meshing 2 households into one since Mom returned with the rest of her stuff from OH this past week. Moving items and taking tons to our local Goodwill.  Slowly the house is getting that *Homey* feel to it but I tell ya it's slow going here..lol..

We found this Cherry wood desk for Richard at a local used furniture store here and after some Pledge, she shines real nice! Now I'm not happy with the use of bar stools and those awful lamps but in due time we will find the right piece of furniture to hide his excess computers.

We have been loving the pool here and since it's nasty in OH each weekend here feels like a vacation!!..It will be awhile before it sinks in that this is home now..lol..

In the afternoons while it's *baking* outside we watch our fav. shows...don't remember what they were watching here but they were glued to their seats the whole time..lol..

We spent so much on this Living Room set in OH..It fit perfect into our Farmhouse but here in FL..Not so Much..What do you think, keep it as is or cheap slip covers?  New furniture right now is NOT in our budget :(

Christmas Decorations 2010~ VIDEO

I've been so busy with a sick lil boy and a very hard working Husband who has been coming in late every night.

I kept it simple this year but love how the kitchen looks when you first walk in. I have started to collect Santas but after Christmas I think I'll find some Snowman to carry me thru Winter.

Here is a very cute Santa that shares my comfy chair. I received him in a Swap last year and love how cute he looks!

I have loved looking at Everyone's Christmas decorations and every day there is more to see. I'm gathering ideas in a journal for next year which I hope will be calmer than this year. I'm not going to complain too much though, my Husband has a great job but boy they work him....I just wish we weren't getting sick, seems everyone is sick with something this year. Drink lots of water and take your vitamins my Friends!!

The weather here has been very cold and we've had Snow, Sleeting rain and ice, more bed weather coming here on Friday from what the weather man said.  How are you holding up, staying warm?

A Milestone Reached~ Lost First Tooth!!

Yesterday the lil guy lost his first tooth! He didn't even cry and proudly slipped it into his Tooth Fairy pillow, the Tooth Fairy brought him .50 cents, he asked if the Tooth Fairy brought toys..lol...

He is growing up so fast, our last one. He starts Kindergarten which will be every other day. He is all ready to ride the bus with his Sisters, I am not ready to let him go...

We have been busy at SUPERKIDS camp, first time for me helping out, Richard does the Tech end of it. The kids loves going and we touch so many lil hearts. If you get a chance check out the link and see what we are about.

I found my fav. magazine and am going to curl up with some tea and settle in with some eye candy, I love easy going evenings like this one.

Watcha Working on Wednesday

This past Sunday we heard water leaking behind our shower in the wall so Richard went into Daughter's closet which is behind our shower to find a flooded mess and after tearing apart the wall we found the leak, after 2 trips to Lowes for the needed parts to fix it the shower is dryer but the closet is taking longer to air out.

Today we got the chance to run to Chillicothe with Richard since he had an interview, his contract is up and he is in the process of looking for a new job, please pray that he gets something fast. After dropping him off the kids and I ran to the park to feed the ducks, here are some cute pics...

This pic of our 3 kiddos is my fav.!

We are enjoying Richard having the extra time with us and we are busy with lots of day trips and trying to stay cool in this heat. I have started a new book by Mary Ellen Hughes called String of Lies.

What Summer reading have you been doing, have you discovered any one new?

~I'm Dreaming of New Dining Rooms~

It's very HOT and HUMID outside so we are inside today. The kids are laying on the couch watching an old movie that we got while visiting the Library, the blinds are shut to keep the cool A/C air in. It's a lazy Summer afternoon, I love the easy peaceful feeling...

I'm dreaming of a new DINING ROOM .......

I love how country this looks, the light wood color would go perfect in my kitchen too!!

I like the black of this set but we don't have much black in the kitchen except my coffee pot and toaster..mmmm...

If money was no object what is one piece of Furniture that you would replace with something new?

~Coming Soon: A CSN Store Review!~

I was recently contacted to supply a give-away or a review for CSN Stores. I was so surprised to be included in this, I've seen many a blogger have fun and try out new items while doing this and I was full of Blogger envy..Come on admit it..You have blogger envy sometimes too right?!

So after spending half a day browsing the stores and really drooling over lots of items, I have narrowed it down to some much needed pots-and-pans..http://www.csnstores.com/Trimmer-SC-SS004-TRI1031.html
I 'm in love with these blue handled ones, afterall I have a blue kitchen..lol..

Then with some more browsing I saw these http://www.csnstores.com/Paula-Deen-19809-EEN1123.html and my heart stopped, I love Paula Deen!!!

Oh the choices, which one would you pick if you could pick?

Come back for my review soon Ladies and maybe I'll cook something up!

Watcha Working on Wednesday

I have been putting away my Spring decorations and putting out my Summer decorations, this is my buffet. I read on someone's blog (Sorry, I don't remember who's this morning) that Jo-Anns had some real life looking red flowers so I ran over to pick some out and my mom helped, Thanks Mom! I love how the lamp looks in the basket with the flowers, it gives off a soft glow at night.

On Sunday my DH built this Herb Planter for my bay window, I have basil and some others in there. This was Richards first project and I adore how it turned out and looks so lovely in my window, Thanks Richard!!

No updates on the new job search, We really thought we'd have an idea of our future but so far everything is still up in the air. It's on the back of our minds but we are not dwelling on it, still putting one foot infront of the other and I'm enjoying watching my flowers bloom!

New Bedroom Make-Over Pics and a Coupon Keeper ?

I'm slowly moving items around our bedroom and taking my time finding the perfect piece for my English Country theme. I rarely post pics of our bathroom/bedroom but I'm so excited to share what I've been up to. It's an on-going process, still need to find side table lamps and now something to go over the bed
since I moved 2 of the pics that were there.

My MIL framed this saying for us about raising kids, it's so nice, hope you can read it. I received the "Be Kind" sign form The Carter Clan blog when she was selling them some time ago.

My mom gave me these baskets which fits into these cubby holes perfectly, for about 2 years these cubby holes were just sitting empty.

These 2 hunt scene pics were over our bed for 2 years but I've moved them here by our closet door, I've added the antique side table my Great Aunt Hazel gave me many years ago and some dried flowers.

My mom gave us this fireplace when she moved into her condo, I'm trying to find the perfect decorations for the top. I love the horse which my MIL gave us one Christmas.
Now here is a question for you Ladies, my coupon binder is falling apart, my mom gave it to me after she bought a new one many many years ago. Please tell me how you keep your coupons tidy!

Enjoy Your Wednesday!!

A Great Spring Time Give-Away

Some Wed. Tweaking and a Sunday Drive

I have had this picture for awhile now and today was the day to hang it in our bedroom next too our closet, I'm going with a English/Equastian? theme..more pics coming soon.

I'm slowly finishing this kit, the button was missing in the kit but I have a cute one in my stash.

This past Sunday was a fairly nice day, meaning no snow/rain, so we went for a drive with really no destination in mind. We ended up in West Virginia at the Henderson Hall and took a tour of the plantation. I'm in love with the clothes and DH took a pic of my fav. dress and the table setting was so delicate! Here are some random pics that I'll leave you drooling over.
