Sisters Forever part 1

Warning~Very scary, depressing bedroom...

In a few short days this space which is in a sad state since we gave my Mom her bedroom set back will be transformed into a shared space between 2 sisters 4 years apart.

We have ordered a Bedroom set from Rooms-to-Go (2 twin beds and 1 nightstand to go in the middle) which will be delivered this Wed.!

We have taken apart the built in tv stand the landlord left here as you can see from the soon to be filled in nail holes in the right hand corner. We are having the room painted and both girls have agreed on a Horse theme.

We have decided to turn this into a Blessing.

So I ask You for ideas on shared spaces between Sisters...this is a Journey we have never taken before since we have been lucky enough that the 3 kids have always had their own room. Do you have fond memories of sharing with your siblings or do your kids share a room today?

We have decided to stay here in this Rental for another year, searching for a house with land within 3 school systems was turning out to be a futile effort as there was not one house available within our time period.

The Landlady has decided to Lower the Rent, and let us update the house the way we prefer. All of which has made us very Happy this month!

Since we are staying another year, We have decided to have the girls share the biggest room and this will then leave one bedroom open for Husband to have his Office again. He needs one for those late night On-Call sessions and his Ham Radios.

Back Home

Wendy's surgery went very well, it was not as long as the Dr thought and it turned out to be a fairly simple fix. It was a bit of scar tissue from the radiation, the Dr sniped it and the lower intestine bounced right back into place, she is eating and holding foods down and yesterday she was able to get up and walk to the nurses station and outside for some fresh air, the Dr is slowly weaning her off the pain meds but she is no hurry to go home, she wants to feel 100% first. It was a Blessing to be there and cheer her up after surgery. I was able to go because my mom and DHs mom took the time to watch the kids and get them to school for us, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

While Wendy was sleeping after surgery that night DH and I found a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, so very funny, more a comedy than a mystery. I had never been to one and I'd love to find another one around my area one day. The food was not very good but it was great to laugh after the worry and stress.

On the way home we stopped in Tennessee at "The Lost Sea Adventure". It's an hour long tour thru an cave which leads you to a underground lake. I was able to grab some pics and will post those in my next blog.

After being away for 3 days I have more laundry than I can handle in one day and I have to jump right back into Mommyhood which I'm finding is not so easy..Am I the only one that finds it hard after being away for a long time. How do you handle the transition?

Update On My Neice Emily

Here is an e-mail from my Sister to everyone that is offering prayers/good thoughts, I told her I'd pass it on. They were released from the hospital on Tues. night as they are still searching for a good surgeon, while in the hospital the nurses had to put a sock over Emil's hand so she wouldn't pull out her I.V.

We got a date of Tuesday, February 17th at 10am to meet the Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Sacred Heart in Pensacola Fl.

It will be a short appointment to meet the surgeon and discuss her recommendations and Emilee's over all case of Craniosynostosis.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that her surgery can be performed soon.

Thank you again for all the Prayers.

~Please, Need Massive Prayers~

My sister Jennifer just found out that her four month old baby girl Emily (my sweet lil niece) has a condition called Craniosynostosis, where the bones that makeup her skull have fused prematurely. This usually happens around the time you quit growing. Since Emily is still growing, her brain has nowhere to go and is literally squeezing itself as it tries to grow. Therefore she is going to have to undergo some pretty major surgery to completely reconstruct her skull. There are very few surgeons nationwide that perform this operation, so they are going to need your prayers to help find a good one, and for a successful completion of the procedure. And they will also obviously need your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Monday the Doctor's start the search for the best Pediatric Neurosurgen in the country, in addition her white blood count is very high and they have to find out why. Tomorrow Jennifer goes back into the Hospital to have Emily's blood checked again.

Lil Emily has a very long hard road ahead of her, Please pray for my lil Niece!
