Sunday Inspirations

Good Morning or early Afternoon!

We are truly being Lazy today, Richard is in his office cleaning/organizing/puttering, the kids are playing Animal jam together and Crystal is finishing up mowing the back pasture- a true 2 day job but she likes to help out and is part of her chore since we bought the Horse for her. I'm starting to read a new book ( The Newcomer by Robyn Carr) and finish up the never ending laundry.

We are trying something new on Sundays~ Not leaving the house, total jammie day. So far, so good but I know this afternoon someone is going to get bored and want to go somewhere.

Whatever your Doing today, Make it a Good One!

Back Home

Wendy's surgery went very well, it was not as long as the Dr thought and it turned out to be a fairly simple fix. It was a bit of scar tissue from the radiation, the Dr sniped it and the lower intestine bounced right back into place, she is eating and holding foods down and yesterday she was able to get up and walk to the nurses station and outside for some fresh air, the Dr is slowly weaning her off the pain meds but she is no hurry to go home, she wants to feel 100% first. It was a Blessing to be there and cheer her up after surgery. I was able to go because my mom and DHs mom took the time to watch the kids and get them to school for us, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

While Wendy was sleeping after surgery that night DH and I found a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, so very funny, more a comedy than a mystery. I had never been to one and I'd love to find another one around my area one day. The food was not very good but it was great to laugh after the worry and stress.

On the way home we stopped in Tennessee at "The Lost Sea Adventure". It's an hour long tour thru an cave which leads you to a underground lake. I was able to grab some pics and will post those in my next blog.

After being away for 3 days I have more laundry than I can handle in one day and I have to jump right back into Mommyhood which I'm finding is not so easy..Am I the only one that finds it hard after being away for a long time. How do you handle the transition?

What A Nice Weekend!

So on Sat. we worked all day out in the barn getting it ready for the Winter again, cleaned and swept up the cobwebs raked the floor to rid it of hay bits. We saw many a worm and found a lil nest of baby mice..She had the nest under our bag that we keep the used up wire that the hay is wrapped in. So the kids had a science class while helping Mom and Dad. Making good memories! We hope that this will be a better year for Hoss but he has started to favor his right front leg already...poor old guy! I fixed an big pot of Green Bean/Ham and Potatoe soup...It was so good after working outside all day. My back was very sore afterwards and I find that I'm not as strong as I used to be.

On Sunday we had Church and then we came home to lunch and rest time. I finally got that chance to sit down and Stitch! I'm Stitching some napkins with Dark Red stars, 1 big star on each napkin..Sweet!

I'm enjoying the new book I got and more than halfway done with it...too bad it's her last on one in the series.

Today I'm fixing a Roast in the crockpot, doing my household chores and trying to keep lil guy busy and not bother Crystal who is home sick with an upset stomach.

I'm loving the Fall weather and cooler temps...How is the Weather were you are?

Sorry no pics this post.

Tomorrow is Church and then home to relax..Only 2 more days of school, Tuesday is the last day and Crystal gets home early.

I'm feeling so much better, I often over think everything and give myself the "Blues", Thanks for such nice and caring comments! It's good to know you have Friends in Blogland!

What Did You Do This Weekend?

I need a weekend just to rest up from my weekend! Have you ever had one of those weekends? We got up on Sat. morning and asked ourselves...What are we doing today? HAH...Should not have asked that!!

We moved screenings (crushed rock) from our blocked drive-way into the barn..I had lost count on how many trailer trips we made back and forth...This took all day Sat. and half the day on Sun. to get done.

We built 2 more stall fronts in our barn, still need to grab more wood from Lowes to finish this up on payday, DH did this..I watched...Stall fronts are way to heavy for me...LOL

I weeded my garden...still need to finish this up.

I did 3 loads of laundry yesterday while running out to help DH when he asked.

I played along with DH when he asked me to sit on this pallet so that he could scrape the driveway to level out the gravel....Sorry no pics of this but the kids sure had fun watching mom!

So what did you do this weekend?...lol...

Wheeler, Our Kitty

This is Wheeler, our outside kitty that we rescued when he was just a tiny thing that could fit in my hands. We went for a drive one Sat. and was behind a pack of people on bikes, I'm sorry if I have offended those that do this but I'm not sure what to call you.....Anyhoooo..this guy stops and squirts water on this tiny black creature that was running after his bike in the middle of the road and surrounded by cars! At first we thought he was a skunk but Wheeler chose at that time to turn around and stare at me while we were creeping along...So I begged DH to stop and I ran out and grabbed him and he purred in my arms the whole way home! Now, He is an outside cat because DH is allergic to cats BUT DH has a soft spot for this cat...Wheeler is allowed to come in and stay in the laundry room if it's cold outside, rainy outside or if DD is at the bus stop and wheeler chases after her, yes DH has a soft spot! We hope that Wheeler will grow up to be a good mouser for our barn, right now he likes to climb up on our bird feeder and try to make nice with the cardinals.

Today was the usual chores, Laundry...getting 2 little ones out the door so that I could get some groceries in this house and tonight we baked DH's cookies, He calls them HACKER cookies. He got the recipe from a book he was reading, basically they are C. Chips with Cocoa thrown in. They are sooooo good!

I'm going to go grab a cuppa tea and a cookie and my good book tonight and enjoy in the silence.
