Spring has Sprung

It's warming up here in FL. Each new day the temps rise and it's the perfect time to start opening up the windows and get your gloves ready for planting flowers.
I have bought a little Herb Planter for my kitchen window, lots of sun shining through here in the afternoons.
I bought this at Home Depot for under $8.00. Now I have fresh Basil, Oregano and Parsley.

I moved my Ponytail plant over here and it seems to like this little wall so far.
Next weekend we plan on buying some flowers for our outside patio but for now we are back to school after a nice Spring Break.

What houseplants, if any, do you have?

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

This morning I'm dreaming about Spring and Flowers, I'm thinking of the changes I wish to make to the front of our house, nothing major, just the addition of flower pots and such. I'm so ready for Spring that I can taste it..lol..

This is the front of our house after we pulled up all these overgrown bee infested bushes last year, I'm planning on adding another humming bird feeder next to the bay window and lot more flowers, I want red geraniums all over! I also want some more seating for our porch.

I'm planning on adding some red flowers to this mix this year and making sure that I make time to weed better than I did last year. I love how this looks out my bay window!

It's already been a busy morning, lil Abby missed the bus so I had to drive her and since it's supposed to be so nice today I let HOSS out and play in the pasture. Now lil guy and I are out to take movies back to Blockbuster.

Have a Great Wed.

Bittersweet Or Not?

It is an overgrown bush on the side of my garage, has very small thorns on the branches...My MIL was over today and said that it was Bittersweet but I thought bittersweet was like a wild vine. Any of you Ladies know? If not bittersweet then what?

~What are These?~

So a Farmer I'm not..LOL...I have been watching these grow on the fence line...I didn't plant them, some bird must have dropped a seed there...

Looks slightly green on one side but the rest is a nice orange. They are pretty big.
Still more flowers and I saw a baby sprout!
It's a rather happy plant on this fence.

If we can eat it, how'd we do that.. chop it up?

I have so much to learn living out here...LOL...

Have a Grand Weekend Ya'll!! We will be sitting inside watching movies and crafting, have to keep DH off of his knee.

WEEK 4/ IN THE GARDEN /FARMGIRL BLOG THON 4/23/08-4/27/08

Welcome to Week 4 of the Farm Girl Blog A Thon!(4/23/08 to 4/27/06)

Since this is a first attempt of having a Garden this year, I have no pics of my Gardens, We did go to TS for seeds this past Sat. We grabbed up some Carrots, Pumpkins (Abby wants to grow some), squash and we are going to buy some Tomatoes later. We have plotted out the Garden and will borrow a tiller from our neighbor. This is where we will be this weekend! I really want to grow Sunflowers and was given some seeds from a Swap and have bought Merigolds to add to the borders of our Garden.

I'm looking for ways to keep the Deer and Bunnies out of our Garden, Please pass me your ideas for this?
