The Search Has Ended...

The Search for the perfect couch pillows has ended!

I walked into Bealls Outlet while they were putting their new merchandise on the shelves and I immediately grabbed these 4 matching pillows. New Year, new look! I'm going for French Country mixed with traditional decor in 2016.

I will be adding plants in cream vases, I have already spotted a few possibilities from Hobby Lobby.

Playing with Coffee Table Vignettes

It's raining here on this Thursday morning, I have to run to the grocery store but it sounds nice and I'm in the mood to finish Fall decorating!

Here is a peek at my coffee table decor. It looks so pretty at night too.  Not much but I have to be careful with 3 kids and 3 dogs running around.

Playing with Fall Tablescape

I couldn't wait any longer and have started to decorate the house for fall.

The table runner and napkins are from a Country store in OH, I wish I had bought more while there since here in FL it's hard to find nice Country decor items.

Dishes are from Mikasa French Countryside

White pumpkins are from Target many years ago and are hollow with lids.

Wine glasses are from Goodwill.

Plastic colored pumpkins are from Dollar Tree.

The rain has started again this afternoon so I'm back at decorating!

Hutch Transformation ~ Summer

I bought a bottle of Murphy's Oil Soap to give the Hutch a new coat of shine. Looks like she was neglected for some time. I don't know why but I've started to call "her" a "she"...how Funny is that!

Here she is shined up and decorated in all my antique/farmhouse finds. Those lovely deep red juice glasses were given to me by my MIL and the blue dishes were my Husbands Grandmothers. I pick up any matching pieces I can find at thrift stores/flea markets. Still on the lookout for tea cups and matching saucers, those are hard to find! The white soup tureen is from a company called "Celebrating Home" , the same company that my new paper towel holder is from.

I would love some ideas on what, if anything, to add to each side of the Soup tureen. Should I leave it as is or add something else?

I just know I'm going to love decorating "Her" every Holiday!

New Kitchen Vignette

This table in our Kitchen alcove is giving me fits. One day I thought I had it nicely done and then the next day I look at it and think something is "off" .....

Here in FL we missed Spring and slide right into Summer.. It's 90 outside! So with it being so Hot I decided to forgo trying to plant new flowers and instead work on this table...

Mmm.. I'm liking the Fruit themed table runner for my new French Country theme but something still seems "off".

Here is a close-up of the Fabric on my runner..

So Please help me out and pass me some Fresh ideas, What do you Recommend?

From Country to Tuscan?

Going from Country to Tuscan/French Country?

Can it be done?
Bought this for $10.00 from a local lady. No scratches and glass frame!

Bought this wrought iron/glass table from a local lady for $40.00, not a blemish on it!

For years now I've decorated in Americana/Farmhouse but since moving to FL I've felt out of sorts with our decorations.

Slowly we will be replacing our decorations with French Country/Tuscan. Richard is liking the idea and I feel like my decorating mojo is back!

So if you decorate in this look, Please share what Magazines or books should I start browsing thru to grasp a better concept of it all!

I did happen to pop into a Kirklands on Sunday and I am in Love with that store, Where have I been??!!

I will be back soon with an new Kitchen tour!

Refreshing the Corners 2

I have been busy moving items around and tweaking here and there. My Fav vignette in the kitchen is the top of my fridge. Everything just seems to fit together rather nicely up there. My window sill has a nice start to a White dish collection.

I'm trying to decorate in more of a Cottage/Farmhouse but I'm not really sure how to start. Any ideas that you can share with me?
