July Favorites

The month of July was filled with tons of favorite buys! Mostly for our 3 kids since school is right around the corner.

Abby has discovered Vera Bradley this year and we bought her first Vera Bradley item, a backpack for school with a few accessories to finish the collection off. The pattern is called "Pink Swirls". I believe it's a retired pattern.

We ran into Claire's to pick up one cute Pair of earrings to start the schoolyear and came out with a few more items, girls sure can talk me into things, haha.

I wanted to peek into Yankee Candle and sniff the new Fall candles and came home with these 2!

Really enjoying the Farmer's Market! I know, I know, here in FL we don't have an Autumn/Fall season but this girl is going to pretend in this house!

Playing with Coffee Table Vignettes

It's raining here on this Thursday morning, I have to run to the grocery store but it sounds nice and I'm in the mood to finish Fall decorating!

Here is a peek at my coffee table decor. It looks so pretty at night too.  Not much but I have to be careful with 3 kids and 3 dogs running around.

Playing with Fall Tablescape

I couldn't wait any longer and have started to decorate the house for fall.

The table runner and napkins are from a Country store in OH, I wish I had bought more while there since here in FL it's hard to find nice Country decor items.

Dishes are from Mikasa French Countryside

White pumpkins are from Target many years ago and are hollow with lids.

Wine glasses are from Goodwill.

Plastic colored pumpkins are from Dollar Tree.

The rain has started again this afternoon so I'm back at decorating!

Fall is On It's Way...

Although here in FL we do not ever get to see these colors.

It's this time of year we miss OH more and more but "Bloom where your planted", Right!

The Fall totes are coming out today, I'll set the A/C colder and pretend.

Fall Kitchen Vignette

Today I was cleaning the kitchen when inspiration struck and I just had to play around with this corner that I was not pleased with.
I like how it's turned out so far

I bought the new Better Homes and Gardens 2014 candle in the Golden Maple Waffles. The scent throw is great cold and during burning it's even stronger which allows us to smell it in the Livingroom!
I had to add my little Hen!

Hope y'all are having a relaxing weekend!

Fall in the Kitchen

Sadly it seems that we've lost a box of my Fall decorations in our move so I'm forced to decorate simply this year. I started this morning with our new Kitchen and had to stop because our little guy is sick with a high fever and stayed home from school, we are snuggling on the couch while Tylonel starts to work.
I'm still loving my hand-made Scarecrow that I made a few years ago in Ohio. He doesn't look to worn from all the moves he's made!

I like how this grouping is going to look together, I just need to find some Sunflowers at my local grocery store. The candle is "Spiced Pumpkin Pie" from Better Homes and Gardens this year.

I'm loving my White table scape this year. The white Pumpkins are from Target and we like to fill them with candy for Halloween.

I also have the large white Pumpkin from Target on our Breakfast bar area.

I will share our living room with you soon as I can, depending on who else gets sick now, ain't it always like this when School starts?

Welcome Fall

Even though here in FL we do not see much of this Season, I do remember the leaves changing in OH and crisper temps.
I am on my way to buy some Apple Cider (from Wal-Mart here sadly not from a fruit stand like back up north) to celebrate Fall!
I hope your Sunday is as nice as ours is today, calm and relaxing but still hot.

Fall Kitchen Tour and They Are NOT Napkins??

I thought I'd share some of my Simple Fall decorations, I said boring in the video but really should have said "Simple"!

I bought some new curtains and table runner from Park Designs at Kindred Spirits Craft Mall in Pickerington and I LOVE how nice they look in the kitchen, thought I had picked up 6 napkins only to find out that they are dish towels...lol...now I'm not sure how I'll use them.

Tonight is Trick-or-Treat so we are very excited for tonight and after school we will play dress up and get ready for Daddy to get home.

Be back with family pics of tonight, Enjoy your day!

Thornville Backwoods Fest 2010

I went on Friday to the Thornville Backwoods Fest and had so much fun looking at the arts and crafts and smelling the great BBQ that was wafting in the air. Due to some vendors not wanting to be filmed or me even taking photos of their crafts for fear that I'd copy them I was only able to get a view minutes of video (you can watch some of the goodies that people have bought as they walk out) but at the end you can see the Awesome Americana Wreath the I bought and promptly hung up in my kitchen and the 3 stars that have Cinnamon/Apple pottpurie? that will hang in my kitchen windows. Isn't that Flag Wreath the Best?

I Just Couldn't Wait Any Longer for Fall..Fall on my Blog

It's Aug. 1st!! Now I like Summer but my fav. season has got to be Fall..Crisp air and snuggling in a sweater, warm candles in the house, fresh picked apples and getting the fireplace ready for a nice evening fire...NICE!!

What do you like about Fall?

Today I've spruced up my Blog and have deleted my Etsy site..It's not doing so great and so my crafts will become gifts..I feel okay about it..Etsy is full of prims now. Might close my Book Blog too as it seems to have not picked up any new interest..I'm okay with that too.

Today is Abigail's second day of school, she was so happy to ride the bus again with Sissy..She is now starting her full schedule of EVERY other day..I just wish it was every day..she gets sad on her days off...so far! Since it's just the lil man and I ...we are going to go visit G'ma today.

Enjoy your Fri :)

Decorating for Fall, Would Enjoy it More if it Wasn't in the 90's

I've started to Decorate for Fall, I pulled my boxes from the basement and found out that I have a huge lack of decorations unlike some of you!

Here's a question for ya'll, how do you get your house to smell yummy WITHOUT using candles?

HOSS and Pipen waiting for breakfast this morning
My mums that DH surprised me with last night, It has been way to hot to pull weeds but this weekend is chore time!
My Scarecrow that DH came home with, He Welcomes you as you pull into the drive.
Fall wreath at the back door, We use the back door only now.
My bay window, pine cones..dried flowers.. pumpkin..smells good in this corner!

This pic didn't turn out great but I put orange lights on the mantle and little pumpkins on the sides of the Freedom sign.
Added this little Scarecrow Welcome sign to the telephone table.
