Exploring Ham

My Husband has had his Ham Radio License for some time now and today he finished his "Go Kit". Throw it in the back of his truck, head for the woods and throw a line up a tree and talk to people from all over. Just tonight in our backyard alone we talked to a gentleman across the pond, as they say!

As for house hunting we have put it on hold since Husband has to travel for work in July and we do keep getting disappointed in every house we look at.

Husband had a nice Father's Day, he finished his project and I cooked a big dinner and we just relaxed outside, the simple relaxing day was good for us.

Have a Great Week my Friends!

Richard is having so much fun since he earned his Call Sign..the kids are learning and meeting new people from all over, as long and as far  as the air bands allow!

He would like me to take the test and I'm thinking about it! Just think I could be talking to ya'll via Ham  Radio one day!

First Ever Easy Sew Skirts- Week 1

So since this blog is supposed to be about my Stitches I have set myself a goal of posting a project a week.

These are a pair of skirts I stitched together, so easy to measure the girls waist and straight stitch some elastic in the waistband. I had been putting this off for some time cuse I was afraid of messing it up. The girls are happy with their skirts and I'm happy I met my goal. I love the little pink roses!

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

This week has been busy with C's 3rd grade State project, in between I have gotten a few lil projects done.

I have picked this up at GW and thought it looked alittle dated so I dusted it and spray painted it to match my Rooster.

We (mainly DH) has helped our 3rd grader with her State project and we safely turned it in this morning! Along the way we learned alot about the state of Alabama!

I had this lonely napkin so I stitched and lightly stained it, I have to iron it still but It would look so cute sticking out of a basket.

Show and Tell Thursday

I have been busy trying to clean house and stay up on the laundry...Not anything very exciting to post about but here are some pics of some upcoming projects.

Here are 2 porch tables that I found from a farm down the road, I'm thinking black spray paint to give them new life and pots of flowers.
This is an old fabric piece that I bought at a garage sale, I'm going to iron it and make a pillow out of it for my Americana living room.
Here is that Apron that I mentioned not so long ago..see all the stitches, It's ADORABLE!! I'm still deciding on keep/sell it...
My Americana mantle, I love how the white pops on the brick!
Another shot..I added the "America" stitchery next to the lamp and the magazine basket yesterday.

I'm going to be out taking pics of the new mini horse today...So far HOSS is okay with her in the pasture and very little fights about his food...We are so glad!
