It's a new school year and this past Tuesday was our first day!!
Crystal grade 5
Abigail grade 2
Richard grade K
This is as dressed up as they wanted, pick my battles right...there was no tears from Richard getting on the bus and leaving me for the whole day, he waved to us with a huge smile on his face sitting with his Sisters as the bus drove away.
All day long the house was to quiet and I felt like there was something I was forgetting...Any helpful tips to get used to this empty house feeling?

Practice for Real Life
This Summer Crystal was busy with 4H and volunteered at Scholl's Veterinary Clinic, Her best friend's Mom owns the office and agreed to let Crystal shadow her.
Here they are, 2 best friends ready to help in Surgery...Crystal did watch some kitties getting Spayed and it never bothered her and asked many a good question from I have been told.
Here's a lil Hamster that she is trying to bring home...UuMMM...not going to happen!!
It's been a great Summer and she learned some Science plus it has spurred her on to study hard this new year so she can do it again next Summer!

*Rooster* Blog Party 2
We have a wonderful country kitchen with a growing Rooster theme. My collection is fairly small compared to many in this get-together but they found a good home in this lil country house.
Roosters are even starting to move into the laundry room!
I'm joining a Rooster Blog party over at BELLA VISTA Go take a peek at all the handsome Roosters that others are sharing! I'm sure enjoying the beauties!

~Angel Song- A Book Review~
When Annie Fletcher returns to Charleston to see her younger sister, Sarah, receive her master’s degree, she finds herself riding in the back of an ambulance, watching helplessly as Sarah fights for life. During the ride, Sarah appears to talk to someone who is not there, humming a melody Annie has never heard before.
Neighbor Ethan McKinney lends a shoulder when Sarah unexpectedly dies. And as a carpenter, Ethan volunteers to help Annie get the Fletcher family home into shape for selling. Ethan’s presence is distracting, but what troubles Annie is her neighbor Tammy’s 12-year-old son. Keith has Down Syndrome and the guile to believe he can see and hear angels.
God begins to reveal Himself to Annie – both in her newfound friends and through heart-rending and clearly supernatural events. Annie discovers faith in God, finally experiencing the comfort that His angels really do surround us.
I found myself caught up in this story from chapter 1 and usually it will take me about 50 pages into a book for me to decide if I like it or not. It's a sweetly sad yet strangely uplifting read that makes you think and wonder about Angels and what's after this life. Parts of this book made me want to yell at Annie, she needs to react to situations differently.
Do you find yourself wanting to help the main character out in a book, give them advice or just yell at them...It can't just be me right?
I was provided this book by BookSneeze for review.

A Milestone Reached~ Lost First Tooth!!
Yesterday the lil guy lost his first tooth! He didn't even cry and proudly slipped it into his Tooth Fairy pillow, the Tooth Fairy brought him .50 cents, he asked if the Tooth Fairy brought toys..lol...
He is growing up so fast, our last one. He starts Kindergarten which will be every other day. He is all ready to ride the bus with his Sisters, I am not ready to let him go...
We have been busy at SUPERKIDS camp, first time for me helping out, Richard does the Tech end of it. The kids loves going and we touch so many lil hearts. If you get a chance check out the link and see what we are about.
I found my fav. magazine and am going to curl up with some tea and settle in with some eye candy, I love easy going evenings like this one.

Watcha Working on Wednesday
This past Sunday we heard water leaking behind our shower in the wall so Richard went into Daughter's closet which is behind our shower to find a flooded mess and after tearing apart the wall we found the leak, after 2 trips to Lowes for the needed parts to fix it the shower is dryer but the closet is taking longer to air out.
Today we got the chance to run to Chillicothe with Richard since he had an interview, his contract is up and he is in the process of looking for a new job, please pray that he gets something fast. After dropping him off the kids and I ran to the park to feed the ducks, here are some cute pics...
This pic of our 3 kiddos is my fav.!
We are enjoying Richard having the extra time with us and we are busy with lots of day trips and trying to stay cool in this heat. I have started a new book by Mary Ellen Hughes called String of Lies.
What Summer reading have you been doing, have you discovered any one new?
~I'm Dreaming of New Dining Rooms~
It's very HOT and HUMID outside so we are inside today. The kids are laying on the couch watching an old movie that we got while visiting the Library, the blinds are shut to keep the cool A/C air in. It's a lazy Summer afternoon, I love the easy peaceful feeling...
I'm dreaming of a new DINING ROOM .......
I love how country this looks, the light wood color would go perfect in my kitchen too!!
I like the black of this set but we don't have much black in the kitchen except my coffee pot and toaster..mmmm...
If money was no object what is one piece of Furniture that you would replace with something new?

Some Summertime Catch-up and Blog Renewal...
Summer time is all about family trips!! We drove to G'mas house in Huntsville Alabama to see family and watch fireworks.
We stopped at the L&N Train Depot and took the tour of the old cars and listened to videos. Lil guy loved this and was so excited.
We stopped at The Lost River Boat Tours in Kentucky but the wait for a tour was 2 hours and by this time we were all tired and opted not to wait, we def. want to try to get back there when it's not a Holiday weekend.
We stopped at a fireworks store called "Nervous Charlies" where we grabbed the fun stuff and the kids had to have a fast pic with the ape in front of the store, I think at one time he was powered because there was an electrical cord coming out of his foot. If this guy could talk huh....
It was so nice to build lasting memories with our kids and to see family! Now it's time to catch up on the laundry and get back into the ole routine.
P.S. these pics were taken on my Husbands phone and I'm not sure how to turn the pics, I'll see if I can fix them later. I have also placed a new Summertime background and pic, I wanted to refresh my page for those of you that visit me.
