I'm sorry I haven't been posting much lately but we have been so busy getting the kids ready for School. We are now done with that chore and so it's on to more exciting things!

While here in FL it's steamy outside and melt-the-skin-off-you Hot...I have stayed inside and enjoyed some great reads. This is a great escapism story that takes you out of the doldrums of Summer.

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

I'm reading this book and enjoying it, my goal this summer is to read all of Beverly Lewis books, I've printed out her book list and crossing off as I read them.
I'm stitching 7 napkins, tracing this star on each one and stitching...I can't decide what color..Should I do the star in black or Blue..what would go more with everyone's tables? I'll be offering these when I'm finished..Any early buyers?


Yesterday was the last day of school and what are they doing early this morning, Playing school of course..lol..and fighting..lol..Oh Boy..It's going to be a long summer!


I won and received my "Buy American" stencil from Folk Art By the Harbor, I'm waiting for payday so I can grab some wood and paint and try my hand at this, She makes Adorable signs! Thanks so Much :)

A Bloggy friend Visit

Last Monday I got to meet JenW from http://purtygirlprimitives.blogspot.com/ We had set up a meeting many times before but stuff would always pop up..We finally made it! I had her over for a light lunch and nice chat down in my Sewing Room. She gave me such a nice doll that I had won from her Give-away many months ago. It was a great visit and I'm looking forward to more Monday Get-Togethers!

A Broken Toe Weekend and I Won

So last Friday Crystal was home cuse of a stomach bug, in fact we were all home and lounging around in our PJ's all day. Around dinner time she went into the laundry room to throw something away, she slipped and jammed her toes into the door jamb and the corner of the wall..she got up and her toe was all twisted around and she said she couldn't feel it, I almost fainted..lol..ran to get DH who was sleeping and he thought it was just out of joint...After a run to the E.R. and an X-Ray, She BROKE her toe! She has to use a special shoe called a boot and has to go to a bone specialist in 3 weeks to make sure that it has mended together properly. She has to stay off of it as much as possible, we are trying school today but I'm on stand-by if she is in to much pain she may come home. She was bored all weekend laying in bed watching Disney...She wanted to be outside with us. We had to work on the fence for HOSS, more winter preperation!

I have WON the coupons for Dog Treats that I posted about a couple of weeks ago. My dogs will LOVE these!! THANK YOU!!

Any ideas on how to get smoke smell out of a dresser? We have noticed a heavy cigerette smoke smell when we open Abigails dresser and now her clothes have a faint smell to them. We do not smoke and this is bothering her.

We have a Winner and a Sickie

We woke up this morning to C being very sick..took her to the ER to find out that she has a stomach bug..lots of clear fluids and meds...although I have no idea where she picked up a germ from since we haven't done anything..maybe just going into a store for a few minutes...We came home and rested, since she is feeling a tiny bit better I had her pull a name from my basket.


Even sick she loves to pose..LOL..

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

Do you remember when I won the "Glad Tidings" contest and this beautiful piece of fabric was included....Well...I knew right away what I wanted to do with it! It had to hang in my DD's Horse themed room but she has a couple of pillows already so what's next?...A pretty frame!

DH has made this frame out of more left over bunk bed ladder wood...We just finished hanging it in her room, She is so pleased! It's hanging above her saddle rack.

Not a big project but one that is now loveingly checked off of our to-do list!

I'm in the process of saving all my Fav. Blogs and trying to find new ones. Blogger seems to be having a fit this morning, It took me forever to post the pic!
