The Pantry

I Love the size of our new pantry!

I've never had a pantry this size, even in our house in OH which was a built in. Our last house had me stuffing Pantry items in 2 random kitchen cabinets.

So my question, and I really need help here, is how to Organize this Pantry?

I've started by adding baskets on the top shelves, one has lightbulbs and another holds my cloth grocery bags for when I run to the store. I do shop but this makes me look like we need food!

Coffee decided to photo bomb again, she decided it was breakfast time!

So Please leave your Organizing ideas for me and maybe a link or 2 of some pictures. Yes, I'm looking at Pinterest as this posts.

Enjoy your Week!

She's Arrived

Just look at her!!

I was able to buy her for a steal and she was delivered tonight! She is a 1960-1962 Cochrane Co made out of North Carolina. Really for her age She looks nice! I wish it matched my table a tad bit more but for now I'll leave the table and hutch alone, paint scares me.

I have always wanted one but they always seem to be out of our price range and since we no longer own a truck at the moment it was hard to get someone to deliver.

This spot is perfect for her right now. I need to buy Liquid Gold to clean her up, someone smeared something sticky on her, they had kids so maybe jelly?

What would you use to make her shine?

Now I'm off to Pinterest to see how many of you have decorated your hutches.

Quick Organizational Projects in time for Summer

This wall by our back door is NOT working. I have tried with the basket but the shoes Never end up in the basket for some reason.

So while shopping at WalMart I found this 2-tier Expandable Shoe Rack.

Hopefully it will be the start of some nicely organized kids this Summer.

I hope!!

It Started With...

It does pay to wait!

I saw this Paper Towel holder on a Blog and then on Pinterest but the price is out of our budget so I put it on my "Want List"...

Last night after getting back from the Hospital with Abigail I was browsing a local sale site and IT was posted for sale by an "Celebrating Home" party lady that was selling some of her stock. IT was posted so low I had to jump on it.
Don't you Love it!

Of course then I had to re-arrange the rest of my Decor, I even omitted some Decor that I wasn't feeling anymore, not to worry..all is just packed away in a cabinet.

I'm not done yet with my kitchen so I'll post an update soon!

Hope your enjoying your Day!

~~Happy Homemaker Monday 2-24-14~~

I thought I would try something new this morning while tank lays on the couch. We just got back from the DR's, he has an ear infection and has to stay home for 2 days on meds. Poor guy is running a fever and watching G.I. Joe on Netflixs.

As I look outside my window:::
I am sitting here at our kitchen table looking out the sliding doors and watching about 25-35 robins playing in our backyard, they just appeared this weekend. I'm listening to my wind-chime and thinking I need to replace it since it broke in the storm this past weekend.

Right now I am:::
drinking my Skinny Salted Caramel coffee from 7-11 that I got while gassing up to take Tank to the DR's this morning.

Thinking and pondering:::
I'm thinking about how our 3 kids are doing in school right now and what we can do to make it easier on them, we are stumped as to why this year is so hard for our oldest Crystal. Poor girl is struggling so much, I'm calling around for Tutors later today.

On my bedside table:::
I'm reading the Book Thief and have really begun to enjoy it, it was slow to me in the beginning.
2 random magazines that came in the mail on Saturday.

On my tv tonight:::
I really haven't watched anything here in the past few days other that Youtube, my little obsession as of late.

Listening to:::
The sounds of G.I Joe in the living room, brings back memories of when I'd watch it before school when I was little.

On the menu for this week:::
We are having pork tenderloin tonight with mixed veggies but so far that is all I have decided on, I'm in a cooking slump.

On my to do list:::
Pick up Tanks meds
take Abby to Tutoring after school
pick up Crystal from school late
call about Abby's braces

Happening this week:::
Lots of laundry and making sure Tank is feeling better enough to go back to school on Wed.
Take car in so they can put my trunk handle back on tight.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Sadly I haven't stitched anything in a very long time, life has just gotten away from us in a bad way. I need to work on this.

My simple pleasure:::
Grabbing my first cup of coffee out of my new Keurig, I love this Keurig!!

Lesson learned the past week:::
No matter how bad we think we have it at this moment, our worst moments may be someones else's good days.

Looking around the house:::
I see a huge mess that I need to work on around my little boy with an earache today. With 2 of Crystal's friends staying all weekend with us my house is a mess.

From the camera:::
nothing as of yet

Prayer List:::
My Husband as he tries to deal with the stress of work
Crystal as she battles 8th grade, her grades are so bad

Canning Jars in the Bathroom

I have seen many people use Canning jars at the kitchen table to hold silverware but with 3 very active young kids, it ain't happening over here...LOL

While thinking one day during a very boring break at work I thought of this use for the 4 Canning jars I have been able to collect so far.. And with some help from Wal-Mart....

I found this canning jar holder on Clearance at my Wal-Mart for less than $10.00! I have just about everything I may need within easy reach.
