Quick Organizational Projects in time for Summer

This wall by our back door is NOT working. I have tried with the basket but the shoes Never end up in the basket for some reason.

So while shopping at WalMart I found this 2-tier Expandable Shoe Rack.

Hopefully it will be the start of some nicely organized kids this Summer.

I hope!!

Summers and Broken Bones

So we went to Delaware on a working vacation with Richard for a week. It was so nice and we got to swim every day in the Hotel pool and walk on the Trails since the Hotel butts right up against a national forest. I took many pics and posted them on my facebook. After Richard was done and we had extra time we drove back to Lancaster OH to see friends and family, We even stopped by our old house which is still up for sale..so sad. I can't even begin to tell ya'll our emotions and thoughts on this situation, It's just an never-ending chapter in our lives, We may never be done with it.

So every Summer since moving we have been able to get Crystal to her BFs in OH. Since we were there we dropped her off and got her a plane ticket to fly back home in 2 weeks, she is 14 now and it's a straight flight, no stops..We've been thru this before with no complications. Only this Summer both girls are older and "feeling their oates" as my Grandma would say...

One week Crystal's BF broke her finger while riding her horse, trip to ER and then an Orthopedic DR..She will be fine, finger will "set" and then a few days go by...

Last week there with them (last week) Crystal falls off horse and breaks her collarbone in 2 places, trip to ER with many phone calls home asking if Hospital has permission to treat ect., sling for 6 weeks and no Horseback riding for 3 months. A visit to the Orthopedic DR while in OH to get letter stating that she is fine to fly home..Maybe PT in her future but that depends on how well her 2 fractures heal and knit back together.

This is our first broken Anything in the family and I'm hoping the last for many months, but with Lil Richard climbing trees, who's to say...

We have 2 more weeks till school starts, this is the most craziest Summer we've ever had! I'm not sure how Crystal is going to do the first couple of weeks in School, this is her writing hand in the sling, Good luck there girl!

MOMumental~ Book Review

One mom's humorous and candid memoir shows would-be supermoms how to create a realistically balanced family life without losing their minds.

~This was a cute book filled with laughable stories that any Mom can relate too. I enjoyed reading this even though my 3 are out of diapers. I have picked up a few good tips here on how to deal with my Tween, which I am glad for!~

Thanks for HandleBar Marketing for sending me this book to read and review, all opinions are my own.

All the Better to See You With My Pretty

Abigail has received her glasses!
Isn't this eyeglass case they came in the cutest!!

She was so nervous about what the other kids woulds say in class today but she was surprised at how nice everyone was.

We knew that one day all 3 would need glasses since both of us wear glasses but we were not expecting to have some in glasses so soon!

Next up is lil guy's eye Dr's appointment.

Back to School Shopping

So School has started and let me tell you shopping for 3 kids is killer on the wallet!

We went to Payless while their store was BOGO and it still cost us $75.00...

middle girls choice..the toes light up and they look so cute!

little guy picked these Cars shoes and they also light up...so cute when he runs!

oldest girl picked these..She is a size Women's 8 already!! Love these and I might have to get a pair myself!

I did some shopping for myself at CVS and bought the Revlon "Gray Suede" which is a very neutral color

Next we have to shop for some Fall clothes for oldest as she doesn't have to wear a uniform like the little ones.

So what Fav. brands of Nail Polish do you buy? Any great Fall colors out there?

The Fresh Air Fund~ Can You Help?

  1. Most of you know that we live on 6 acres and have a Horse, 2 dogs, and a few cats...A lil spring fed stream tht runs in the Spring/Summer and we sometimes see a stray Amish horse trot down the road.
My 3 kids run allover and explore! It's great out here and even if one day we have to move then they have great memories of our lil plot of land but to think that there are some kids that don't have this freedom, I simply can't imagine.
Kids that have lived in the city their whole life need to enjoy this just once!

I was contacted by The Fresh Air Fund  to bring awareness to this.

I had no idea that there was a program like this and I'm so excited for these children!

Please read about this great program, Maybe we can spread cheer this Winter!

FYI~ I was asked to bring awareness to this program from Sara Wilson,

SuperKids Camp 2009

http://www.superkidsonline.org/
You can read more here on this great camp.

This year both Crystal and Abigail got to go to camp, 3 days 2 nights of fellowship and learning about GOD. They both had a blast and came home so sleepy.

This year Richard is helping out by running the cameras and learning the soundboard, next year I'll help out since they do have babysitting for the younger kids..Tank has 2 years before he can attend.

I'm working on a big project for the girls and will post as soon as I finish, this is going out of my comfort zone but is turning out so sweet!!
