Crafty Organizational Tools

This is our mudroom hallway that we use more than our front door. This large picture was given to me by my Sister acouple of Christmas's ago and we love the saying but in my search to be more organized and needing more space to hang notes from Teachers ect. other than our fridge, We needed something more. We where at Staples buying my Day-Timer Planner and I saw some lovely cork boards but many were out of our price range. So the search went on...

While on facebook one night searching the sales page for my town I found Rough Lemon..Oh My, She paints such Lovely pieces of Furniture. This was in our Budget and fits our decor perfectly right now. So now when the 3 kids get home from School if there is a important teachers note or an activity that we do not want to miss we can use the clips and we will be reminded every morning as we walk by..nothing will ever be missed again (Here's Hoping)..

See that Horse picture, Crystal our oldest drew that free hand just by looking at a picture in a book..she has some talent!

It's raining here today and I have a sick girlie at home so we are watching random T.V. shows and taking it easy.

Hope your day is Relaxing!

The Keeper~ Book Review

A family. A farm. A heart. All in need of repair.
Life on Windmill Farm hasn't been the same since Julia Lapp's father has had trouble with his heart. But that doesn't stop Julia from hoping for a bright future. She has planned on marrying Paul Fisher since she was a girl. Now twenty-one, she looks forward to their wedding with giddy anticipation. But when Paul tells her he wants to postpone the wedding--again--she is determined to change his mind. She knows who is to blame for Paul's sudden reluctance to wed: the Bee Man.
Roman Troyer, the Bee Man, travels through the Amish communities of Ohio and Pennsylvania with his hives full of bees, renting them out to farmers in need of pollinators. A mysterious man who relishes his nomadic life, Roman especially enjoys bringing his bees to Stoney Ridge each year. But with Julia seriously at odds with him, Windmill Farm is looking decidedly less appealing.
Can Julia secure the future she's always dreamed of? Or does God have something else in mind?

This is just a fun book that I read with no real review due on it. I really enjoyed this book and give it 5 stars, I will be eagerly awaiting the next one! Such an easy, simple plot to follow and lively characters.

I read this on my Kindle Touch..still haven't found a cover for it though.

Remembering.....

2 years ago we lived in a much smaller house and everything seems to just fit. Today the rooms are larger and my collections are small...My bedroom has taken on a whole new look with my new comforter, I'm going for a more Old English Inn Horsey look..lol..got that? My kitchen is now filled with white/blue sponge ware and roosters. My living room has a nice collection of Americana growing, which I love and am proud to display! Here is our lil place 2 years ago....

Which is a better place to display pics..Web Shots or Picture Trail? I want to show off my new collections and my hand-stitched crafts.

It was nice going down memory lane on this rainy Wed...Thanks for coming along Friends!

Abigail's first Day of School!

Yesterday was Abigail's first day of K and first day on the bus! It was a rainy gross day but she still wanted to wear her new skirt. We got her on the bus and Crystal is watching over her, I'm a nervous ninny about Abby on the bus and didn't go to far from the phone in case something happened at school. While the kids were at school Tankers and I played blocks, cleaned his room and played with his cars..watched boomerang and I had a relaxing time stitching while he sat next to me. I have to say that he has such a different personality than Abigail..not loud and so far not very demanding...I think he missed his Sissy too!

Tonight we go to the school and have Open House, thank goodness they split it up in 1/2 hour intervals for those of us that have multiple kids.

It's still rainy and cloudy..I'm making home-made beef stew today and will let it simmer all day.

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

Leslie is away at a Fair but I'd Love to share what I've been up to still! It's a rainy Wed. here..I think it's remnants of TS Fay, It's gonna be a slow steady rain all day they said and boy it is gross outside!

Here is a fabric 1976 calendar that I found at a garage sale, It looks very Americana so I stitched it up into a pillow..Look at the vibrant colors!
Here is the back..It's so neat! I haven't seen very many of these made into pillows. Now to decide to keep or Etsy it..LOL..

Here is a goody box that I received from Katie at http://www.kateskountrykottage.blogspot.com/ She is changing her decor and I'm just starting out with Roosters so it was a win/win!! I'm still waiting on a very cute lamp that goes with the set, I will set it up on my counter and show pics after I get it.
Here is the box full of Rooster goodness! Now to transform...
close up of my old curtains..Very nice but I think a little dark for the wall with the wood trim
We have plans to paint this kitchen yellow too, I have always wanted a yellow kitchen!
Here is the new curtains up..Much brighter in here now!
Here is the wall that is giving me trouble, it's a big space and that stupid light makes everything look off to me. Onward with the Rooster search to fill this wall..LOL.. Thank You very much Katie! My kitchen is so much brighter today!

Date Night

We are going out tonight to Dinner/Movie...We haven't decided on what movie to see as they all look good to me. My Sis is going to watch the kiddos and put them to bed, Her DH is even going to feed HOSS for us so that we can go into town early! It has been rainy and cold, the snow is melting and is slushy but I've heard cardinals singing outside today on my birdfeeder! Signs of Spring, I'd love to see sunshine again!

Have a Wonderful weekend Blogger Friends, I know I'll have a great start to it!
